Too early to judge Blackpool boss

KEVIN Gallacher believes it is hard to judge Michael Appleton’s Blackpool reign after only 12 games in charge at Bloomfield Road.

Appleton was appointed as Blackpool boss in November after leaving Portsmouth, where he was forced to battle the club’s financial problems.

The 37-year-old has won two, drawn eight and lost two of his games at Blackpool so far but did not take training yesterday after Rovers made an official approach to speak to him.

“Blackpool looked at him and saw that he has been in charge of a club in turmoil where he had to deal with losing players and bringing new ones in,” Gallacher said.

“He’s gone to Blackpool but after only 12 games he’s not really set the world on fire, I think he’s had two wins in 12 games.

“But I know people do talk about his coaching skills.”

Gary Bowyer has won all three of his games in caretaker charge so far and Gallacher believes that has reduced the urgency for an appointment.

“Any manager’s a gamble, whether he’s an experienced one or not,” said the Scot.

“But Gary Bowyer has done well so far and has been getting results.

“That buys you time to have a look at the situation.”

it is too early to judge after 12 games and its also too early to be taking a gamble on him mid way through season just as we was getting some momentum going with GB these brain **** try and unsettle things again

The fans can play a big role in the rest of the season by getting behind him and giving him the benefit of the doubt until such time as he screws up - if he does.

Madame Desai and Agnew, Apparently Shebby's blown it and is now being "transferred" to concentrate on the academies.

This is also why BRAG are in an uproar and threatening further protests, the who JA/SEM link is also being thrown around by singh supporters who feel they have an ally at Ewood whilst he's in control.

it's all Agnew and Shaw at the moment, with the madame taking back control - to the frustration of Balaji and the boys. She's not happy with the results since darling Stevie left and S & A have managed to convince her that its not working with Singh in control.

My thoughts are the Singh haters have now invited the wolves to rhe feeding table again..

will the players play for him? At least he wont lose games as he is a draw specialist. Look at Blackpool results lately.

But not too early to judge Berg after 10 games?

The man is useless. Look at his Portsmouth and Pool record.

Clearly the Cancerous Venkys want someone who really can plummet Rovers even quicker into Div1. He has taken Blackpool down 9 places since taking over.

It all defies belief. I am convinced part of his salary will be going to Shaw. Why else? What an absolute joke of an appointment.

We are the new Coventry.

I refuse to get behind another useless inexperienced manager. After Kean left, I gave it a go, to see if we could restore confidence. But at this point, we've set ourselves back again.

I bought a season ticket this year because i belived like most that our squad was capable of putting on some good performances against the lower level championship sides. Obviously, this wasn't the case and I gaurentee the second season in the Championship will see 5k ST's sold MAX. It really does beg the question, are Venky's slowly asset stripping? It really does look this way.
