Bruno's loan move confirmed

BLACKBURN Rovers defender Bruno Ribeiro has today returned to his homeland on loan until the end of the season.

The Brazilian full back has signed on loan for Clube Atletico Linense through to the 30th June 2013.

Since arriving at Rovers in the summer of 2011, Bruno has found his first team chances limited with just five senior appearances to his name.

No fit right back at all now. Another window when the better players will leave (obviously don't include Bruno in this) and will either not be replaced or will be replaced by inferior cheaper options. Yet the Venkys insist we must go up. I think they are looking at Paul Daniels as the next manager.

It would be easy to make a condascening remark about this story, However, just maybe, with the shipping out of Ribieiro, Orr and Anderson , together with the recent upturn in results, we have begun to become a proper football club again. I hope so!

who was ribero the "new"? was it dennis irwin?

fair play to the lad, probably brought over here with dubious promises from those that cannot be named. remember williams and finn's leaked letter?

best for rovers, best for him that he stays at home. what amazed me was that he ever got a work permit given his low profile football cv

Douga, I do admire your optimism, and wish I had some. How many more have they to get off the wage bill before your realise the whole operation is being wound down? But, as they say, keep the faith, keep the faith. There's precious little else to believe in and the sooner this nightmare comes to its inevitable end the better, and we can start again....

While he never looked like becoming the Dennis Irwin we were all told he was I still think it's bad timing to let both Kean RBs leave. Get rid of Orr, great, get rid of Bruno, ok but both, when we've just lost Henley for a month?

I think the trouble is that the hierarchy are banking on 2 things;

1 - Jason Lowe will fill in at RB until Henley's fit again and definitely won't get injured.

2 - If JL does get injured we can count on this Ryan Edwards to rise from the academy, drop straight into the first team and become another Henley success story.

Whether Edwards has promise or not, the fools at the top need to understand how rare it is that players like Henley and Phil Jones actually come along and to depend on the academy so directly to subsidise the first team is another form of footballing suicide, particularly where defence is concerned.

I just hope that behind the scenes Bowyer and McPhilips are shortlisting potential defensive signings, be it on loan or otherwise. Shebby says our squad is very big - he can put that down to probably 80% of midfielders, akin Paulo Jorge & co. If Ribiero's loan move is a measure used to trim some of the chaff from the squad, there would have been better areas / players to do it with IMO.

Bruno was never good enough at this level, neither was Anderson and now Keanochio has gone someone has also noticed Orrs lack of ability.
I notice Orr wanted to come back but Rovers have said stay where you are.
Thats three nearly men out, only about another half dozen to follow.

Totally agree, I just hope we have enough time and supporters left to gee us over the line. There was a lot of deadwood brought in over the last 2 years, too much quantity and not enough quality. Only trouble is now, quality wants to move to a quality outfit and that may be our downfall.

I honestly can't answer that one Givet. It makes no sense at all. It's a mystery. Why pay all that much for a player and not have the players to feed him the ball? I did think when they signed him that they had seen the light. Since then - nothing. The only thing I can suggest - and it is admittedly weak - is that they are as crazy as many of us on here think. I mean, who in their right mind would employ, you know, the clown, you know. Does that make any sense, you know, to put a multi- million pound organisation in his hands, you know? And have a board of directors sat on their hands. I cannot explain the incomprehensible. . I'm just a doomsayer and nay sayer. You know.

Givet82 - Are Venkys putting £2m cash into BRFC ?? - why do you say this ???

The recently published accounts showed they put ZERO per month into the club.

Please stop spreading this MIS-INFOMATION - currently Venkys are saying they will underwrite our losses - that is NOT the same thing as putting cash into the club.

And before the happy clappers start slagging me off as "doom-monger" etc - I think Venkys are doing the right thing - GET RID OF THE DEADWOOD - we are losing £2m per month and we need to reduce our losses and our wage bill (currently running at an absurd 125% of turnover).

Stop saying they are putting £2m cash in to BRFC per month - they are NOT !!

I can tell George Inbred stories about his club and one ex senior employee that would make his crusts curl. That's just behind the scenes too. Once had to clear back because a fight broke out between some Burnley fans in front of us. One had become upset because nobody was singing and decided to tell those around him to f##ng sing. They took offence and used their fists to let him know. All got dragged out. What a bunch of muppets they are at the place. And by take some customers do you mean the street bums that dwell in the soup kitchen you run?

You have clearly made that story up to besmirch the good name of a first class family club, that's well run by caring owners who aren't stripping the club. I tell you, when the Venky Clarets super fans finally jump ship after waiting for the remaining parachute payments they'll have stripped everything, including the copper pipes and lead flashing off the roof. If the ****'s just down the road from your sinkhole haven't got there first.
Oh come on thick bread. I like you, you know that, a good banterer etc but you're stretching the imagination too far calling the holy grail of manure that is turd moor "first class family club"! Unless you're referencing it to the other iconic buildings in the rat hole that's Bonleh.

Of course Venky's are as you call them "Super Clarets", we all know where manure comes from and how Venky's feel about them..

Speaking of Keane it's interesting that no comments are allowed on tge story about you lot having to cough up 15 K to Big Sam! Just another example of how bad supporters of this club are. The "fans" who posted the footage though it would accelerate Keanes departure ftom the club but instead he stayed for a good while longer and walked of his own accord, and its now cost the club a tidy sum. Well done lads, with supporters like you behind your team contributing to your financial woes you'll be in administration sooner than you think. Another paddle over the side as the Rovers canoe heads for league 1 sh1t creek.
You are not a football fan George as you don't go. You are posting on here at the same time 'your team' are playing only a few miles away at Barnsley. Your views are of no consequence.
Oh I was there alright Hardwoodglue, 3:46 pm the post. HALF TIME !!! these smart phones mean you can even post at football matches.
I hoe!

Keep digging. So your holy grail is so boring that at half time you ended up on your phone on a Rovers article?!

Or was it during the match?

We understand..

Just read that we are signing 19 year old Todd Kane on loan from Chelsea for the RB spot...He has been out on loan at Preston until this week. Sounds promising....

TODD KANE Chelsea
Born in Huntingdon on 17 September 1993, and with the club since he was an Under-8, Toddy is a very quick right-back, comfortable on the ball and tenacious in the tackle. He played in the youth team while still a schoolboy.

He is capable of scoring goals from distance as he proved with a rocket in the 2011 Reserve League national play-off final which Chelsea went on to win.

Toddy was also an integral part of the side that won the 2012 FA Youth Cup and along with the captain, Nathaniel Chalobah, he ended the season as part of the first team squad that flew to Munich for the Champions League Final. Another young player taken on the summer visit to the United States.

Kane, who was named as captain of the Under-21s at the beginning of the season, has been an ever-present throughout the current campaign, and scored his first goal of the season during the 4-1 win against Crystal Palace.

On 22 November it was announced he would be joining Preston North End on loan until 5 January. International - Kane is a regular for England Under-19s.

I thought Bruno did well when he was given a chance at the start of the season, albeit in a more advanced role. He's very quick and was a good crosser of the ball. It's a shame he didn't get the chance to fill in for Henley for a few games.

If George Inbred was there he certainly wasn't watching the game. While his six fingers were tapping away on his smart phone (coughbullsh*tcough) Barnsley were having an attempt on goal. Surely that would have been of more interest to a paying fan?

Also, there were two minutes and twenty seconds of added on time so even if the game had kicked off at precisely 3pm it still wouldn't have been half time.
