‘Henning will build from the defence’ (From This Is Lancashire)

I love “Henning is the type of manager who likes to build from the defence. He does want to get the ball down though and likes his teams to attack with pace.”

That's wonderful, imho! It's a long time since Rovers had a solid defence. Defence always seems secondary to most managers. But a solid defence is the best platform possible for winning matches. One goal becomes enough to win when you aren't conceding. Of course, defence nowadays is about the whole team working together not just a great back four. However, a great back four helps tremedously and Rovers ain't got one at the moment. I am really looking forward to see how Berg strengthens the defence, especially in the window.

How have they tried to brainwash Rovers fans into thinking this is a great appointment exactly? From what I saw there were plenty of Rovers fans saying it was a decent move when news broke that he could be offered the job. That was prior to any statements or press releases from the club confirming Berg had been appointed.

Sorry to have to point it out to you, again, but just because he wasn't people's first choice doesn't mean that he's a bad choice. Like most my preference was with another manager but it didn't pan out. It doesn't matter though because I believe the club have still appointed someone capable.

We all hear you smelly, you SHOUT LOUD ENOUGH!! But if there is anything in what you say, now is not the best time to be spamming every article and annoying everybody. That is, of course, unless you want to deliberately get up everybody's noses and get yourself banned from LT comments.

Why not cool off and see what happens? Why not go to some games and watch some football and see if Rovers have a chance of promotion? Then if you're not happy, other people may agree with you and maybe even listen to you.

It seems that some people are only happy when they are moaning! Granted, the Venkys have not covered themselves in glory as owners. But they have spent significant money over the summer on the squad and have finally got rid of the worst Rovers manager in history. They have appointed Henning Berg one of our greatest ever players as manager, and the man deserved some respect from the supporters, and not be called a "puppet".

I support the club fully and I hope Berg is a success, some of you "fans" seem to be wishing that he is not a success, that is really sad.

Congratulations to Henning Berg, he was a true great player for BRFC and hopefully he can guide us back to the Premiership.

Orr is crap & not good enough for 1st team but okay as squad member
Another player required,,,! ......urgently
Dunn is slow and past it but okay as squad member for time being
Another player required...! A midfield general
Murphy is slow and past it but okay as a squad member
Pederson is getting slower and older by the day, okay in squad
but we do require a fast winger who can deliver crosses

I think if we can find a Midfield general to boss the center
and a fast winger as Pederson was good but getting slower....!
with 2 midfielders our midfield will be sufficient.
I think we need to bring in someone to replace Orr

we have BEST who should be okay when hes back but in the meantime maybe we need a big striker to play alongside Rhodes....!
