Nelson contributed to their own downfall as they conceded two penalties and had a player sent off.
Luke Hargreaves fired Nelson in front with a 34th minute free kick but Ian Dyson levelled from the spot and Daniel Finch was red carded.
Dyson added a second penalty after the break to seal victory.
