FULL TIME: Torquay United 3 Accrington Stanley 1

ACCRINGTON Stanley slipped to 11th in League Two after defeat at Torquay United this afternoon.

Rene Howe put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot in the fifth minute after Michael Liddle was penalised for handball.

Padraig Amond came off the bench to head Stanley level in the 65th minute but Billy Bodin restored Torquay's lead just two minutes later.

Lee Mansell's header then confirmed victory for the Devon side with 10 minutes left.

I live in Torquay and was at the game. The Accrington supporters were great and it was a privilege to talk to some of them. I hope they had a decent journey home.
Let's face it - Accrington Stanley is a famous name in football, whilst most people don't know that Torquay exists!
