BOSS John Coleman believes the form book counts for nothing when his high-flying Reds entertain struggling Barnet tomorrow.

Stanley begin the day in third place and a victory could take them top come Saturday teatime while the Bees are down in 20th and without a victory in 10 games in all competitions.

That all points towards a home win but Coleman is wary of the threat posed by Rossi Eames’ men and points to Stanley’s home record this season as evidence why each game poses a different challenge.

“Everyone will think we should win this game based on what has gone on in the past,” said Coleman ahead of the clash. “That has no bearing on the game.

“The games that people would have doubted us at home - Mansfield, Carlisle and Coventry - we have won.

“The games where people thought we would be bankers to win, we haven’t.

“You have to take every game as it comes because the league is that tight and because there is not a great deal of difference in quality.”

The Reds will be looking to make it back to back league wins following a victory at Crewe last time out while they are also keen to build some momentum on home turf.

Stanley won their opening three home league games of the season but since a 3-0 success over Carlisle they collected just one point from three Wham Stadium matches prior to the 1-0 victory over Coventry City in their last home fixture.

And Coleman admitted that home form had started to become a concern and the Reds boss is keen to try and turn the Wham Stadium into a fortress for the remainder of the season, starting with the visit of Barnet.

He said: “It was a worry because you don’t want to get to the stage where it becomes a burden and the longer it goes on the more people talk about it and the more players think about it.

“We have a tough game on Saturday but we have a good squad and players who still haven’t hit their heights and when they do we are capable of giving someone a good game.”

Meanwhile, Stanley loanee Tom Dallison has returned to Brighton & Hove Albion to feature for the Seagulls’ development squad but the 21-year-old centre back remains available to Coleman.

The Reds boss added: “Tom has gone back to play a couple of games for Brighton Under-21s but we can do that under the terms of his loan.”
