ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman completed a triple deadline day deal as he secured threeloan signings on Thursday.

The Reds signed centre back Farrend Rawson on loan from Derby, goalkeeper Max Stryjek on loan from Sunderland and defender Callum Johnson on loan from Middlesbrough on the final day of the transfer window with no players leaving the Wham Stadium.

Rawson, 21, has had previous loan spells with Rotherham United in the Championship and Coventry City in League One while Stryjek, also 21, has been a regular for Sunderland Under-23s.

And Johnson, 20, has come through the Middlesbrough academy.

The triple capture follows Stanley's signing of Sheffield Wednesday's former Everton defender Jordan Thorniley earlier this week.

With Omar Beckles and Matty Pearson having departed Stanley this summer Coleman was keen to strengthen at the back.

He said of Rams defender Rawson: “Farrend has played in the Championship with Rotherham and was on loan at Coventry last season so he has plenty of experience.

“He is tall, comfortable on the ball, takes set-plays and is an accomplished footballer. He ticks all the boxes for us."

Of Thorniley the Reds boss added: "He's had a good upbringing at Everton, went to Sheff Wed, been around their first team in pre-season and needs to play games. He is a no-nonsense defender with a sweet left foot who suits the way we play. It was obvious that we needed to strengthen in that area."
