REDS boss John Coleman will have wait for late news on the fitness of two players ahead of tonight's League Two clash at Victoria Park.

Striker Terry Gornell missed Saturday's clash with Morecambe due to illness and he will be checked again today before any decision is made.

Midfielder Scott Brown has withdrawn in the first half of the 2-2 Lancashire derby draw with the Shrimps after picking up a hamstring niggle.

The Stanley manager said: "Terry is seeing the doctor today, so he's not quite right, but we'll have to assess that tomorrow.

"Scott is just a wait and see."

Huddersfield loanee Joe Wright is heading back to fitness after his knee injury.

Coleman said: "Joe will be training today.

"He's done smashing when he's played this season and it's another addition to the squad that means we can cover any eventuality."

Coleman admitted it's vital to not overdo work on the training ground, with big games coming thick and fast.

He added: "It's a balance between fitness and freshness at this stage of the season.

"You don't want to leave it too much on the training ground.

"It's been a long hard season and you want to keep the legs as fresh as possible.

"We do try to vary training to make it a little more enjoyable."
