AFTER a major boost off the pitch, John Coleman is hoping his side can pick up where they left off on it as they make their first trip to Leyton Orient tomorrow.

The game at Brisbane Road is a meeting of sixth versus seventh, with Accrington Stanley currently occupying the last play-off spot.

And Coleman is expecting both sides to showcase why they are in the higher echelons of League Two.

“It should be a great game. They play open attacking football and I know Ian Hendon (the Leyton Orient manager) really well,” said the Reds boss.

“They’re a big club and they’ll be expected to be in and around the automatics and the play-offs.

“People are starting to take notice of the way we play now and how well we’ve done.

“If it’s the attacking open game that I think it could be, it could be a really attractive game.

“I just hope we come out on the right side of it.”

Stanley recovered from their first back to back defeats of the season with Saturday’s 3-1 home win over Dagenham and Redbridge.

But Coleman felt hard done by with the first of those losses, 1-0 away to Plymouth in a game they bossed.

“Other than possibly the second half against Morecambe I can’t remember us turning in a bad away performance. Hopefully we’ll keep that going,” said the Reds boss.

“We had a lot of injuries that just happened to be in the wrong positions for us. We have a decent enough squad but we couldn’t really cope with the defensive loss that we had.

“Having said that I wouldn’t blame the two defeats we had on injuries, and I couldn’t because we turned in what I would say was our best performance in one of those two defeats.

“I think the players all believe in each other now. They know we’ve got a good squad and good players and they honestly can’t wait for the games to come round.”

Coleman will be without Adam Buxton for up to four weeks with a torn hip flexer, while Gerardo Bruno is out for a fortnight with a hamstring strain.

Dean Winnard is back in contention after recovering from illness, as is Tom Davies after going on a rehabilitation course at St George’s Park.

Fellow defender Liam Wakefield is also fit.
