ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman admits he may have to take a patient approach to new signings ahead of the League Two kick-off.

Coleman is keen to bring in loan signings to help bolster the ranks at the Store First Stadium.

Last season the Stanley chief enjoyed success in the temporary market as he brought in the likes of Lloyd Jones and Sean Maguire who both starred for the Reds.

But Coleman believes he may have to wait until late in the summer to bring in players from higher up the football ladder.

“Most clubs are waiting for their own pre-season to get under way before letting anyone out on loan so that can be a bit of a problem,” he said.

“There are still one or two things that we are exploring in the loan market though and hopefully we can get those loans right before the season starts”

Stanley made 15 temporary signings last season although five of those were goalkeepers as Stanley struggled to find a regular number one until the arrival of Scott Davies from Fleetwood in February.

Davies was another success story for Stanley with the stopper in fine form over the closing months of the season.

The likes of John O'Sullivan, signed from Blackburn Rovers, and Anthony Barry, brought in fro Forest Green Rovers, also impressed for Stanley last season.
