POLICE were yesterday hunting three children aged about 10 who mugged
and injured an 81-year-old woman in a subway and stole her pension book.
The three crept up on the woman in Chadderton, Oldham, Greater
Manchester, last night and punched her in the back. She fell forward,
breaking her hip and injuring her face. The woman, who has not been
named, was said to be ''poorly'' in hospital. Police are hoping to
establish the sex of the children but said they were Asian and possibly
girls.
