ACCRINGTON Stanley were unable to hang on to a lead as promotion-chasing Rochdale scored a last-minute winner at Spotland.

Stanley went ahead with only 18 minutes to go in the League Two as Piero Mingoia found the net with a superb left-foot volley.

But Rochdale levelled within the space of five minutes as Tom Aldred's clearance ricocheted against Matt Lund and beat Stanley keeper Marcus Bettinelli.

The home side then made it 2-1 in the 90th minute as Lund netted his second goal from close range.

Stanley: Marcus Bettinelli, Adam Buxton (Kayode Odejayi 90), Dean Winnard, Tom Aldred, Laurence Wilson, Piero Mingoia (Josh Windass 90), Peter Murphy, Luke Joyce, Lee Molyneux, Will Hatfield, James Gray (Kal Naismith 83). Subs not used: Nicky Hunt, Rob Atkinson, George Bowerman, Danny Webber.

Beaten by 2 fluke goals - Rochdale will never be as lucky again, Stanley were the better team for the majority of the game & thoroughly deserved to take the lead - unfortunately for us, lady luck then decided to favour the opposition & we came away with nothing
