Accrington Stanley keeper Bettinelli recalled by Fulham

ACCRINGTON Stanley have been dealt a blow after Fulham recalled loan goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli.

The Londoners have suffered an injury to Maarten Stekelenburg, and boss Rene Meulensteen has recalled Bettinelli as cover.

The 21-year-old, who is on the bench for today's Premier League game at Norwich City, has impressed as Stanley's regular keeper this season.

The Reds must now wait to see whether he will be able to return to the Store First Stadium in the New Year.

Andrew Dawber, 19, starts in goal for Stanley in this afternoon's home game against York City.

Bad for Stanley, good for him.
Has looked very secure and composed for us and it's good to know that Fulham have been keeping an eye on him and it can only be good that a Top Tier team believe that Accrington is a place for thier youngsters to develop.
Let's not be naive, coaches, scouts and players from different clubs do talk to each other and its good to know that the name of our Great Club is being mentioned in a positive light in such circles.
