Brilliant news.
James Beattie is always a danger. He has such a calm centredness that you feel a defender has to foul him to get the ball.
Perhaps he and Podge can continue to develop a great partnership and provide a few wins.
.
Just get David Beckham :-) behind them now and we're set fair.

My January Wishlist:

1 New Beattie Contract - tick
2 New Centre Back
3 Two Years for Boco
4 A Full Back - tick

This is great news. Beattie will be a great asset for us with the job we have on - to move up the league table. Wasn't sure we'd pull this off so I see it as a good omen... An extension for Boco, who is the best player I've seen for a while (as good as Ryan?) and get a centre half and I don't see why we shouldn't be top half or even a surprise package in the second half of the season.

Boco is suffering the same way he did in his previous spell with club. Those around him simply aren't up to his standard and too often put in lackluster performances.
With regards to our apparent lack of strikers - Amond has proved he can be a double figures a season man at this level. Boco can play as a striker and is wasted out wide (ideally like to see his energy and drive in the centre of the park though). The lad Gray looks like he's got something about him, just a shame he hasn't been given the game time. We've had countless strikers/attacking players on loan who never even made the matchday squad and finally Craig Lindfield who won the FA youth cup - as a striker, had variuos spells on loan with us - as a stiker, played against us a few times - as a striker. There's also the youngster Carver too. Plenty of fire power if deployed correctly.
