Chief executive rules out Coyle return to Burnley

BURNLEY chief executive Lee Hoos has tonight ruled out a return to Turf Moor for Owen Coyle.

The Clarets have a managerial vacancy as Eddie Howe completes his move to Bournemouth and Coyle is available after being sacked by Bolton earlier this week.

Coyle guided Burnley into the Premier League in 2009 but angered fans when he left for Bolton months later.

Asked if a return for Coyle could be a possibility, Hoos said: “I just couldn’t see how that one could happen.

“Obviously I wasn’t there when the whole Owen Coyle saga happened but I got enough feedback to know that there was a very bitter aftertaste and I just couldn’t see a way back for that one.

“Being free and available is not necessarily the hallmark of what going for, it has to be the right person – the right man for right job at the right time.”

It seems that goes against the opinion of the majority of the fans the loyal people who turn up week after week to support their club.Could I suggest that for just once, the board step out of their ivory tower and muse over some of the suggestions the fans may throw forward as suggested on a radio programme I have just listened to,or would that be too demeaning

Neither of our two local clubs are in any position to gloat at the other tonight. Those of a blue and white persuasion should remember their owners' complete failure to adequately communicate compounded by the appointment of a loose cannon of a global adviser who has probably gift-wrapped Kean a constructive dismissal payout of enormous proportions.

Ten miles away Burnley's manager jumps ship for a club from a lower division. Almost unprecedented.

Alexander to Burnley and Dunn to Blackburn would re-ignite passions immediately although in one instance the spectre of unpredictable owners cannot be diminished.

Two historic clubs whose long-suffering fans deserve better than their current lot.

Eddie Howe left for family reasons, it turns out his wife and family couldn't settle "up North" and stayed down in the Bournemouth area. Obviously a problem! Otherwise, well said sir!

I'm not surprised his family couldn't settle. Who in their right mind would swap the tranquil surroundings of Bournemouth, for the cesspit that is Burnley? Only a simpleton would do so.

It's following her curiosity to visit this place called blackburn which her friends had told her about. Where the 'people' (not her friends description, i'm being kind) all look very similar and walk round with this confused look on their face as if to say 'why me?..Why did i have to be born a bstrd?' It was explained to her that its the burden of weight they carry in their head that only a lucky few are born Claret and Blue that gives them the aggrevated look, the features are inbred!
It turns out though, that none of these things did it. In fact she expressed her sorrow that such an under privelidged species could be allowed to exist in britain today and has called on DEFRA to investigate. No, It was the smell. Like nothing she'd ever experienced before. A sort of cross between desease and un-washed.
It was simply a case of "Burnley I can live in, but I could never live next door to that! I'm off eddie, you coming or what?"

Would have been interesting to see how "homesick" he/she actually is if Bolton, or even your beloved neighbours at the madhouse up the road had come in for him.

OK maybe not, but it would have been interesting if he was suddenly offered 30 grand a week rather than five bob a month at Bournemouth.

Homesick, personal reasons my derriere, the old ones are the best. We do have cars up North love and Cheshire, the WAGs paradise, is only a hour away. FFS I live further away from work.

"Bournemouth were the only club I would have left for".

I mean, FFS,how many times have you heard those words in the same sentence before?
