BREAKING NEWS: Howe takes training as uncertainty grows
11:57am Thursday 11th October 2012 in Sport
EDDIE Howe took training at Gawthorpe this morning but Burnley refused to comment on reports that their manager was set for a return to Bournemouth.
The Clarets insist their position has not changed since offering a hands off warning to the Cherries last week - but it is understood the South Coast outfit are stepping up efforts to land their man.
Talks are believed to be ongoing between the two clubs, with compensation understood to be a factor, as the Clarets are left in limbo.
Burnley declined to comment on the mounting speculation this morning, but a growing number of sources close to the club believe this could be Howe's last training session at the helm.

Hes done an average job for us, made a couple of decent signings but I don't think he is any better than other managers out there.

Money & more importantly location talks even in League One! There's a reason behing Harry Redknapp living in Poole (very close to Bmouth) it's stunning compared to the grim north. Look forward to beating you next year in the Championship with Howe at the helm.
Retribution for constantly stealing all our best players in the past seasons namely W Elliot!

AFCB is not a disgrace of a football club, but I will not deny that it has been poorly run in the past. When Eddie Howe was appointed manager, it wasn't so much the club's choice but the fact that there was virtually no other member of staff at the club to do the job, and no money to bring anyone else in. The club then had to operate for a season and a bit on a full embargo, and all finances were monitored by the FL. AFCB has certainly not stiffed the taxpayer out of millions - it never owed that much in the first place.

AFC Bournemouth is a DISGRACE of a football club - its gone bust, god knows how many times - stiifed the tax payer out of millions of pounds of revenue (how many times have BFRC or BFC failed to pay our taxes - NEVER) and a southern nob comes on here telling us how wonderful it is to live in a glorified old folks home - do one you tory, granny $hagger !!!
I'm not going to be drawn into a slanging match about how nice a place one is to live in compared with another. I know full well that there are some stunning areas in the NW of England, and a lot of very interesting places too. However, next time you're in this area, enjoy a Friday or Saturday night out in "sleepy old Bournemouth" and you might just revise your opinion.
PS, I'll never vote Tory as long as there's breath in my body.

By the way Bournemouth is anything but a grannies playground - chance would be a fine thing, nowadays the streets are lined with drunks, litter, violent p*ss heads on a fri-saturday night, with the Uni expanding its digs to nearly every building in a 5 mile radius you would be hard pressed to find anybody over the age of 40 enjoying a peaceful promenade on any night let alone the weekend.

J.C - Rishton wrote:Yes, I agree previous regimes have avoided paying their full dues to HMRC, but the blame for that lies firmly at the door of those in control at the time, and thankfully they are no longer involved at AFCB. The current ownership have had to sell players by the dozen to clear arrears, and keep up to date, which we are told they are doing, and seeing as the FL are supposedly still overseeing our finances, we guess affairs must now be in order. My point is that the amounts in question with a small club like AFCB are peanuts compared with the likes of Pompey and Leeds. I know that doesn't make it right, but to label our Club as a Disgrace for not paying "millions" of pounds in unpaid tax is way wide of the truth, and a trivial amount in the grand scale of UK tax evasion.

Laughable...? Hmm should he depart will you not be pleased to see the back of him? in 3 months you'd probably sack him any way and end up paying him compensation.... Your likely to receive a sizeable compensation package and can re employ your beloved O Coyle.
Money & more importantly location talks even in League One! There's a reason behing Harry Redknapp living in Poole (very close to Bmouth) it's stunning compared to the grim north. Look forward to beating you next year in the Championship with Howe at the helm.

AFC Bournemouth is a DISGRACE of a football club - its gone bust, god knows how many times - stiifed the tax payer out of millions of pounds of revenue (how many times have BFRC or BFC failed to pay our taxes - NEVER) and a southern nob comes on here telling us how wonderful it is to live in a glorified old folks home - do one you tory, granny $hagger !!!
pets & ludicrous accent.
Why wouldnt anyone want to live & work in a thriving holiday hotspot, with the best beaches in Britain? No need for us totake a coach to Blackpool assuming that your having a 'cultural visit'.
You're welcome to 'em mate. We have aeroplanes in the north that take us to sun drenched places all over the globe.
I've lived in Bournemouth. Stop flattering yourself, it really isnt that special.
Your accent however, now that really is special.

J.C - Rishton wrote:Let's correct a few details here. AFC Bournemouth has never gone bust. It has been in administration twice, but we're in good company, as nearly 50% of the current members of The Football League have encountered insolvency issues at some point in their history. The figures involved, however, in comparison to "top-flight" clubs, have been tiny - yes, a lot of money for a small club perhaps, but a month's wages at Manure. It simply goes to highlight the disgraceful differential in the disposal of TV money throughout the whole of English football.

Your reasoned submission has no place on a mud-slinging, foul-mouthed, bigoted, moron-infested, rant-page like this one.
Doubly so if you don't vote Conservative, (or better yet, UKIP).
