CAPTAIN Jason Shackell and midfielder Chris McCann both return to the side following injury.

The duo missed the midweek draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday with minor knee problems.

McCann had suffered tendonitis, while Shackell was withdrawn from the squad after the warm-up of the previous game against Millwall at Turf Moor.

That game had also ended in a draw after Burnley's lead was pegged back – a frustrating pattern which continued on Tuesday.

Manager Eddie Howe will be looking to go into the international break on a positive note at Crystal Palace this afternoon.

And goals are expected with the Eagles scoring in all of their league and cup games this season.

Burnley have failed to score only once, in the August defeat at Huddersfield Town.

Palace have ever-present Wilfried Zaha available after an injury scare.

Michael Duff has not travelled with the squad after failing to recover from the rib injury he suffered against Wednesday.

Marvin Bartley replaces Ross Wallace in the line-up for his first league start in over a month.
