Burnley relegation rivals Portsmouth deducted nine points

The Premier League have confirmed a nine-point deduction for Burnley's relegation rivals Portsmouth to take place “with immediate effect”.
The League’s board met this morning to impose the sanction after HM Revenue and Customs yesterday dropped their challenge to the club going into administration.
The deduction virtually guarantees relegation for Portsmouth, whose total drops to just 10 points, 14 behind the Clarets.
