BURNLEY Under-18s bounced back from their FA Youth Cup disappointed with a resounding 4-1 win away at league leaders Bolton Wanderers.

The Clarets lost 1-0 to Plymouth Argyle in the cup earlier this month but this three points sends Danny Cadamarteri's side are up to second spot in the table.

Marley Blair struck a brace with Dan Moss and Craig Ellison also on target.

And Cadamarteri, who saw his side beat Manchester United in a friendly last week, was pleased to get back to winning ways.

“We were very pleased with the performance and it was nice to get a good result,” he said.

“We were obviously disappointed to go out the Youth Cup, but we said to the lads after the game the distraction of that is now out of our minds and out of sight.

“We spoke to the lads about that and how we react and how we respond.

“We had a good game over at Manchester United in mid-week, which was fantastic to go over there and get a win as well.

“And it was a nice little result for the lads to follow up and get at Bolton. We changed the team a little bit, and the performance, especially in the second half when we managed it really well, was good and we really took the game to them.”

Moss put the young Clarets in front when he finished from close range following Dylan Meredith's corner.

Ellison, who had already seen a goal chalked off for offside, made it two with a neat finish after running onto a through ball before the home side halved the deficit before the break.

But former Liverpool winger Blair put the result beyond doubt with a second half double to ensure a return to winning ways for the Turf youngsters.
