Nick Pope 6
Saw Sako’s strike late on but perhaps a little disappointed not to keep it out having got a strong foot to it
Phil Bardsley 4
A tough afternoon against pace. Backed off the goal and committed a couple of silly fouls in the second half
James Tarkowski 6
Shaky early on with a couple of missed clearances but improved as the game wore on and tended to recover from errors.
Ben Mee 7
Occasionally rattled but made one breathtaking goal line clearance to deny Palace a second in the first half
Charlie Taylor 7 (Man of the Match)
Struggled first half and played Pope into trouble with a weak header but showed character to improve after the break. Made a brilliant block on Zaha in the second half and unfortunate to be booked for easing the winger off the pitch late on.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson 5
Usually a creative force but some way short of his best, especially in dead ball situations
Jack Cork 6
Caught on the ball in the first half but helped get the Clarets further up the pitch after the break
Steven Defour 6
A misplaced pass played Burnley into first-half trouble but he was also more influential in the second half
Ashley Barnes 6
Worked hard to try and unsettle Fosu-Mensah and had Burnley’s best chances, especially his late effort
Jeff Hendrick 5
Taken off first once again. Good work off the ball but finding it difficult in advanced role at the moment
Sam Vokes 6
Good movement for glanced header in second half but struggled to unsettle Kelly or Tomkins
