SEAN Dyche joked a Burnley pub could be out of pocket after it offered him free drinks following his achievements with Burnley this season.

The Princess Royal, near Turf Moor, had a sign outside its doors before the final Premier League game of the season on Sunday offering Dyche the chance to drink in the establishment for free.

Dyche has guided the Clarets to another unforgettable season and kept them in the top flight for the first time since 1975, and the local boozer was keen to say thanks in the way it new best.

Told about the offer after his side had ended the season with defeat to West Ham, Dyche said he was grateful for the offer and could take the pub on its generosity.

"I don't mind a little half a shandy, it might cost them a few quid," he jokes.

"I've never been in the Princess Royal, but you never know, it's a nice gesture."
