WELL that should be about it, shouldn’t it?

A point at Middlesbrough last Saturday – a 0-0 draw that was perhaps the most predictable result of the season – probably means that Steve Agnew’s side will join Sunderland in exiting the Premier League via the trap door.

I might be wrong and I might be accused of getting ahead of myself but I do think that there is only one relegation place left to avoid.

And with Hull’s home form, and Palace’s win over Arsenal on Monday night, I think Swansea may be the unlucky third team.

Obviously, and mathematically, we probably still need another point or three to guarantee we’ll be in the top flight next season but even without them it will take a huge swing and I just don’t see it happening.

We are fast running out of away games to win and we may be one of those rare teams to go through a Premier League season and survive with such a poor return of points on the road.

But who cares?

Survival by hook or by crook was the aim at the start of the season and as I’ve said many times before, I’d have taken staying up on goal difference on the last game of the season.

That achievement alone would have been superb so huge credit to Sean Dyche and the lads for the work they’ve done.

I’m sure he’ll already be planning for next season but one thing I know he won’t be doing is allowing the players to be on the beach already.

A few lads may be looking nervously over their shoulders ahead of the transfer window opening in the summer while a couple – including George Boyd – are actively playing for a new deal.

And we’ve got some great games to look forward, starting at Everton on Saturday.

I always love a good trip to Goodison Park and while most Burnley fans won’t be sticking any cash on a Clarets win, you do wonder if that elusive victory is going to come from an unexpected occasion.

The Toffees are on a great run and it would be very Burnley to spoil the party.
