SEAN Dyche admits managers are no longer surprise when a colleague loses a job due to the demands of the modern game.

Aitor Karanka's dismissal at Middlesbrough means five of the bottom six in the Premier League have now changed managers this season, but Dyche said the harsh realities of the game often meant a change is just around the corner somewhere.

"Generally speaking we all know the realities, as harsh as they are these days," he said. "The demands are getting higher, the expectation changes from normal to madness.

"The chairman at Middlesbrough generally has been very strong with that club and with the managers, but as a business I think the demands are getting higher.

"Although the demands are high there is a queue out the door for most jobs, because there is still a thirst to have your chance at any given club.

"I just think it’s the reality of the business, not at that particular club but generally speaking, demands are so high that none of us are surprised when things change at clubs."
