Tom Heaton 6
Not a great deal he could have done for the goal. Couple of stray kicks in the second half, which is unusual.
Matt Lowton 7
Missed a huge chance in the first half, but defensively did as well as can be expected against the superb Hazard.
Michael Keane 8
Aggressive in the air against Costa. Beaten by Pedro for the goal but very good defensively aside from that.
Ben Mee 8
Enjoyed his battle with Costa and was physical throughout. Also allowed striker in when caught on the ball in second half.
Stephen Ward 6
Made some well-timed interceptions as Chelsea threatened. Moses given too much space to create opening goal.
George Boyd 8 (Man of the Match)
Fantastic workrate off the ball and disciplined defensively. Had to be alert with Alonso staying wide and high up in the pitch in Chelsea’s 3-4-3. Produced some moments of quality as well, involved in a lot of Burnley’s good football.
Joey Barton 7
Won the free-kick that led to Brady’s goal. Perfectly weighted pass to set Lowton up for a golden chance.
Ashley Westwood 6
Combative performance against Chelsea’s duo of Matic and Kante. Sloppy pass to Hazard in second half and had to foul him and take a booking.
Robbie Brady 7
What a way to introduce yourself to the Turf Moor faithful. Stunning free-kick aside didn’t contribute a great deal.
Ashley Barnes 7
Had a couple of sights of goal in the first half and was heavily involved in Burnley’s attacks.
Andre Gray 7
Made some intelligent runs around Chelsea’s back three. Missed a glorious chance at the start of the second half.
