BURNLEY remain on the lookout for free agents who can strengthen the squad, with Stephane Sessegnon linked with a switch to Turf Moor.

The 32-year-old is without a club having been released by West Bromwich Albion in the summer and the Clarets are in the market for a winger having seen a deal for Poland international Kamil Grosicki collapse in the final hours of deadline day.

The Benin international has made over 160 Premier League appearances in spells at Sunderland and West Brom, and Dyche said he was ‘open minded’ to adding free agents to his squad.

“We’re on the lookout for if anything comes our way. We’ve got to be open minded to any situation,” he said.

“If it’s something we think can affect us of course we’re open minded, whether it’s him (Sessegnon) or anyone else.”

Dyche also added that the Clarets were already starting to plan for the January transfer window.

“We’re pre-planning (for January now),” he said. “What have we learnt from the last one? Get your wallet out. It’s about can you do it, can you afford to do it. We’ve got have an eye on that moving forward to the next window.

“That’s our main thought at the moment.”
