OKAY, we had that little bit of luck when that equaliser came at Cardiff City Stadium in the 93rd minute, but let’s not take anything away from this tremendous comeback from 2-0 down.

Rouwen Hennings will go from strength to strength after he scored the first goal for the club since coming from Bundesliga 2 in the summer.

From my own experience as a striker scoring goals gives you confidence on the pitch, and Rouwen will benefit from the 15 minutes he played and getting Burnley back in the game with such a great shot.

Now that he has got off the mark I expect him to show us all what he is capable of doing.

George Boyd looked like he had rediscovered his form too as his contribution was the best I have seen from him for quite some time.

He was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet – and what a different game it could have been had his goalbound shot not been illegally kept out by the defender’s hand.

I’m not sure how the referee missed it.

But while it was frustrating to go behind like we did, from two set pieces, there were plenty of positives to take from the way we fought back. Add to that the return of Dean Marney, who had a hand in the equalising goal in stoppage time.

He made a difference in the middle of the park when he came off the bench and it’s great to have him back.

But I think it will just be a case of wait and see for him before he gets back into the starting line-up.

I think the manager will start with more or less the same, perhaps with the exception of Sam Vokes if he returns from his groin problem, and Marney can come in when the legs start to get tired.

Next up we have Preston North End at home on Saturday, another of my old clubs.

I feel we can take home advantage and get the three points, but I’m sure proud Preston will give us a game and not make it easy for us.

Derby games are very unpredictable and can go either way.

But we have a healthy league position that we want to maintain, although there can be no pressure on us as the season has not reached the halfway stage yet and we are sitting comfortably.

The manager has got his players focusing on the next game, and that’s the attitude to take.

The players are all united on this and every player is putting in 100 per cent effort on and off the pitch. I’m sure the manager’s very proud of them.

I read on Saturday that West Ham and Everton were looking to take Andre Gray.

Surely he isn’t interested as he has just come to the club and looks like he is loving it. I hope he is reunited with Vokes this weekend.
