Marney, who signed from Hull after Burnley were last relegated from the Premier League in 2010, penned a new deal on the eve of the promotion season during Dyche’s first summer in charge.
An announcement is anticipated from the club with regard to the 31-year-old securing his immediate future at Turf Moor, which will come as a boost as he continues his recovery from the cruciate knee ligament damage which cut short his season in February.
Of the progress he is making Dyche said: “He’s doing very nicely. He’s doing very well, and Longy actually.”
Defender Kevin Long suffered a similar injury on his Premier League debut away to Newcastle on New Year’s Day.
“At this moment they’re well on track,” Dyche continued.
