THE SFA today defended their decision to raise ticket prices for the national team's Euro 2008 showdown with Georgia at Hampden on March 24.

The Tartan Army will have to fork out £35 for a brief for the centre of the South Stand.

Family section tickets have risen from £22 for a parent and child for the France game to £28 for the Georgia fixture.

But SFA spokesman Andy Mitchell said: "These prices are comparable with the SPL. They are good value to watch a team who are top of their group."
