GLASGOW CITY and Celtic hope their inter-nationals return from the Cyprus Cup in good health on Saturday as they will be required just 24 hours later for crucial matches in the Women's Premier League.

Both clubs have four players each with the Scotland A squad which has lost all three games, and will be anxious they have avoided injury.

City head coach Eddie Wolecki is confident the experience will overcome any tiredness facing his players for their match against Hamilton on Sunday.

"The timing is not ideal," he said, "as the girls have played some tough, high-intensity matches in Cyprus, while we have a pretty important game ourselves.

"However, fitness and tiredness is for us to manage, and we will assess the girls when they return.

"The experience they will get from playing against some of the world's best players will do them no harm, and our club can only benefit from this. All four, I am sure, will be raring to go at the weekend."

Celtic are in a similar situation, with four top players away before they face the trip to Forfar Farmington.

The Station Park club are having a fine spell. However, it would need to be the result of the season if they were to be able to take anything from Celtic.

Sunday's fixtures:

Forfar Farmington v Celtic, Hibernian v Aberdeen, Spartans v Boroughmuir Thistle, Glasgow City v Hamilton Accies, Raith Rovers v Kilmarnock.
