A GLASGOW celebration of Scotland's national drink has switched venues from George Square to the SECC.

Thousands of people are expected to take part in Whisky Live in November after the event moved to a larger site which will see it line up alongside the BBC Good Food Show Scotland.

Visitors can taste samples, learn how to create cocktails, relax in the whisky lounge or have fun in the games area.

Day tickets for the event on November 2 and 3 cost £25 which includes a tasting glass and five drink vouchers.

Evening passes cost £15 with three vouchers and a tasting glass. Extra vouchers cost £1.

Damian Riley-Smith, director of Whisky Live, said: "The move, along with new dates, continues the exciting growth of Whisky Live Glasgow and it shows the breadth of fascination whisky holds globally.

"Scotland has some of the greatest drink and food in the world, and Whisky Live Glasgow is proud to celebrate Scotland's greatest export."

The first Whisky Live show took place in Tokyo before Glasgow quickly became a regular date on a world tour of cities.

BBC Good Food Show Scotland runs from November 2 to 4.

Celebrity chefs including Gordon Ramsay and James Martin will serve up a huge selection of seasonal Scottish food.
