SCOTLAND coach Stephen Gemmell hopes home advantage can help his side finish their IRB Sevens World Series campaign on a high ... by qualifying for the semi-finals this weekend writes Doug Stewart.
Gemmell's side have recovered from a dreadful start to reach four successive quarter-finals - in the US, Hong Kong, Australia and England.
Big crowds are expected at Murrayfield, and Gemmell, whose side stand ninth in the series, wants his men to repay the support by marching into the final four.
"It's going to be difficult but in terms of how hard we've worked this year, I think it would be massive to do it in front of your home crowd."
Fiji top the table with 120 points, ahead of New Zealand who are 10 points adrift, and Samoa, four points further back.
