BURNLEY manager Sean Dyche and striker Danny Ings have been shortlisted for the Barclays Manager and Player of the Month for November.

It is the first time the Clarets have received nominations since their return to the Premier League last summer.

Dyche earns his nomination for two wins and a draw in the club’s four games in November, including back-to-back successes against Hull City and Stoke City, followed by another encouraging home draw against Aston Villa.

The Clarets boss goes up against Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho, Newcastle chief Alan Pardew and Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

Burnley striker Ings bagged three league goals in the month, including a brace at Stoke City and at a third in two games in the home draw with Villa.

A whirlwind month for the 22-year-old also saw him score twice for the England U21s at Turf Moor, and launch the new Danny Ings Disability Project, aiming to deliver football coaching to disabled youngsters and with learning difficulties throughout the region.

Ings’ competition for the award comes in the shape of David De Gea (Manchester United), Charlie Austin (QPR), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) and Daryl Janmatt (Newcastle United.
