DANNY Ings, David Jones and Dean Marney remain in contention to make the Clarets squad for Saturday’s game against West Ham.

All three have been training this week and Sean Dyche said they were ‘all going nicely’ as they look to prove their fitness for Saturday’s visit of the Hammers to Turf Moor.

Last season’s top scorer Ings has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury he picked up in the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Jones and Marney missed the games at West Brom and Leicester City, with the Clarets forced to field a new central midfield partnership in both games.

Scott Arfield and Steven Reid played centrally at the Hawthorns, while Arfield and Stephen Ward got the nod at the King Power Stadium.

On the injured trio returning to training, Dyche said: “It’s been good, we will wait and see how things go along this week but they are going nicely at the minute.

“We will see how the training goes this week.”

While three may be returning Michael Keane could be a doubt after going off at half-time with a hamstring problem in England Under-21s 2-1 victory over Croatia at Molineux on Friday night.

The international break has come on the back off Burnley’s injury time equaliser at Leicester City, something that Dyche said had lifted the mood in the camp.

“I think it helps,” he said, “apart from one performances the performances have been good, it’s just important to turn those performances into wins.”

The next chance to get that first win comes at Turf Moor on Saturday.
