It was a quiet start to the day but it has started to reach boiling point with the deals and rumours flying in and there is more action expected from Burnley, Blackburn Rovers and Accrington Stanley.

Rovers have signed Fulham midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe and Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele on season-long loans. The duo completed their moves just before the window closed at 11pm.

Accrington Stanley have signed their former captain Andy Procter after the midfielder was released by Bury.

Reports from the north east suggesting that Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele is on his way to Rovers on a season-long loan.

Reports suggesting Rovers are in a two-way battle with Ipswich Town for Fulham’s former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe.

Another one to keep your eye on is Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele. Goalkeeper is one of the positions Rovers boss Gary Bowyer is attempting to strengthen.

And there’s nothing in Twitter rumours suggesting Benfica want Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes.

Young Rovers centre-back Jack O’Connell has re-signed for Rochdale on loan until January 3.

Reports linking QPR's former Manchester City defender Richard Dunn appear to be wide of the mark - although the Clarets are still looking to add to their ranks before 11pm.

The Clarets have completed a deal for Hull City midfielder George Boyd.

That deal delights boss Sean Dyche who said: "You look at his record down the years, he scores goals, he can create goals. We've gone up a level and that's harder to do so we need the people who can do it."

Accrington Stanley hope to be able to allocate their number 24 shirt - currently no-one has that squad number - before the window closes at 11pm.

Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Everton's Shane Duffy for an undisclosed fee. The deal was announced at 11.30am and is on a three-year contract.

Duffy had some kind words for his former fans.
