BURNLEY are going into the Premier League in a "good frame of mind", says manager Sean Dyche.

The Clarets have had their season delayed through their opener, at home to Chelsea, being picked by Sky Sports for their Monday Night Football fixture.

And Dyche insists the players will use the extra time wisely, and be ready to go.

"We've had a decent pre-season and we're happy with that," he said.

"Players came through fit and well.

"We go into the Premier League understanding the challenges and some of the powerful clubs and players that are out there, but we want to be relentless in our attitude and thinking towards games.

"We do take one game at a time, and we go into the season in a good frame of mind."

Burnley have virtually a clean bill of health for the Chelsea game, with only long-term casualty Sam Vokes on the injury list.

But Dyche says the striker is progressing well.

"He is still a while away yet bit he has been out on the grass with the physios doing very light training," he said. "He is doing really well."
