BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche is hopeful of making more signings before the squad's pre-season tour to Austria on Monday.

The Clarets boss has already welcomed five to Turf Moor, including last season's loan star Michael Kightly, as he shapes his troops for the Premier League.

And ahead of their summer training camp, Dyche is looking to add one or two more to the trip, with Troy Deeney and Lukas Jutkiewicz understood to be topping the list.

"There are a couple pending who might be on that trip with us so watch this space," said the Burnley boss.

"It's not a pre-requisite but it's helpful if you've got people with you (before the tour) because it's a great time for them to bed in.

"You're with each other all the time so you get used to each other that bit quicker."

Dyche added: "There's more to come. We've not put a number on it but it's fair to say we ran at a low number last year and we've still got a relatively low number so we are going to need support, competition, the usual stuff really, and the right quality that really is still appropriate for the club, because we don't want to break the club."

Burnley remain in talks with Middlesbrough over Jutkiewicz, but want to secure a double striker swoop by landing Deeney as well.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche has made Watford's top scorer his number one target for the Premier League season.

And he is determined not to be put off by interest from Swansea, who have bettered the offer that Burnley had rejected last week.

The Premier League new boys had a bid believed to be between £5million-£6million turned down by Dyche's former club.

But the Clarets boss is determined to secure a reunion with the 26-year-old, and supplement his strike force with Jutkiewicz.

It had been suggested that Burnley were turning to Jutkiewicz in the event of being priced out of a Deeney deal, with Watford so reluctant to sell as they plan a promotion assault next season.

But I understand Dyche wants both.

Bolton Wanderers seemed favourites for Jutkiewicz's signature after he impressed on a four-month loan spell at the Reebok Stadium last season.

Derby County also registered an interest.

But it now appears to be a race between Burnley and Wolves, who have come on strong in recent days.

The Clarets have made an offer for Jutkiewicz, believed to be £1.5million, but it has not yet been accepted.

Dyche has already added to his attacking options with the arrival of Marvin Sordell from Bolton.

But with Sam Vokes expected to be sidelined until at least December with the cruciate knee ligament injury that curtailed his season, and only one year left on Danny Ings' contract the Clarets want to ensure they are not short of options.
