Stanislas signs three-year deal at Bournemouth to link up with Howe

This Is Lancashire: Junior Stanislas Junior Stanislas

JUNIOR Stanislas has joined AFC Bournemouth after rejecting the chance of a Premier League return with Burnley.

The winger was offered new terms after helping the Clarets secure automatic promotion from the Championship in the latter stages of his contract.

But after finding opportunities for regular first team football limited at Turf Moor last season the former West Ham wide man has opted for a reunion with his former Burnley boss, Eddie Howe, at the Goldsands Stadium.

Stanislas, who has signed a three-year deal, admitted that it took “careful deliberation” before he reached his decision, with the prospect of playing top flight football again a tempting offer.

He made more than 40 Premier League appearances before leaving his boyhood club for the Clarets, with Howe first signing the former England Under 21 international for Burnley on the 2011 August transfer deadline day, for an undisclosed fee from West Ham.

MORE TOP STORIES:

And the 24-year-old said the chance to work with Howe again, with the aim of being part of another promotion push with Bournemouth, was one that he felt he could not pass up.

“He (Howe) is brilliant. I was playing at West Ham and then I got to a point where I wasn’t really and he gave me a way out,” he said.

“He always had faith in me and stuck with me and gave me a lot of games and experience at Burnley so when I knew Bournemouth were interested, with Eddie Howe as manager, I really wanted to come down here and work with him again.

“I think it was a successful season last year and with one or two additions, and because there are a great bunch of lads here already, hopefully we can take it one step further.

“Looking around the place and talking to the manager, I know the club on the whole are very ambitious.

“I think we definitely have to aim high this season and look for maybe the play-offs or some type of promotion.”

Stanislas played an important role in Burnley achieving promotion to the Premier League as runners-up last season, scoring in a 2-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in late March as the Clarets neared the finishing line.

But it is perhaps his opening goal in a 1-1 derby draw at home to Blackburn Rovers last September that the wide man will perhaps be best remembered for by Clarets fans.

And Stanislas admitted it was a moment he would cherish as he moved onto the next chapter in his career.

“After careful deliberation I have decided to turn down the offer of a contract extension with Burnley Football Club and move on to pastures new,” he said.

“I would like to thank the Burnley fans for their support over the three years. The crowd reaction after I scored against Blackburn will live with me forever.

“I wish my team mates, the fans and all the staff every success for the coming season in the Premier League.”

n Meanwhile, Michael Kightly is expected to complete his permanent switch to Turf Moor today.

The winger was on loan with the Clarets from Stoke City last season.

Brilliant!! Now there's an endorsement of Douches man management and confirmation from the inside that Howe laid the foundations for your lucky season!! Prefers the Championship to staying with Burnley for one season in the Premier League. Wise beyond his years this one!!

Hi Tom, Bournemouth or Burnley?? its no wonder we can't compete. Stanialas has moved up the ladder from a category three club to a category two. So its a step up for him and I wish him all the best.
By the way, have you heard from Crispy? I am awaiting his appearance in my court room which I have pegged out on the moors? He seems to have disappeared. Maybe he's out on a fun run

Mmm...we offered him a one year extension..Bournemou
th offered him 3 years...so obviously he will be guaranteed 3 years cash instead of 1 years cash....the 3 years cash amount to more than the 1 year cash....also he could hardly get in our Championship side so obviously not going to feature much next season...at Bournemouth he will get more game time...absolute no brainer.

He started less than 10 games last season in the CHUMPIONSHIP (That pathetic league that you geeks are still in) so evidently he isn't going to get even a place on the bench in the Premier League, so he went for the option of guaranteed first team football.

Good luck to him and what a great goal against the scum.

Good move for Junior he''ll get to play. I have no idea why a Blackburn fan would be interested in this story though - bizarre! Bournmouth are a good side and if they have the money behind them again this season could be looking to make a top six finish. Junior will certainly help in that push.

There is a lot of attempted face saving going on around this disaster. We thank him for his wonder goal against the mighty Rovers however, this in no way makes up for the April fools day massacre of 2001, which even the title cannot be beaten by us as it will never happen again, ever. It would be like winning the Euromillions if it did, think about it. There will never be another occasion when that headline will be printed
APRIL FOOLS DAY MASSACRE, it makes the bitter hairs on the back of my neck stand up at how much we looked the April Fool

On that note I have a suggestion, maybe we can play Rovers on April fools day every year so we can have a chance of getting our own back, it could be an annual event like the Oxford Cambridge boat race, that way we have a chance of not looking like April fools for a thousand years.

You are truly a despicable human being. Trying to play it down is doing you no favours whatsoever. You have shown us all exactly where your moral compass is pointing.

The best way to deal with this Barry is to make a full and frank apology in light of your racist outburst. There is no place for that kind of talk on these comments pages. Light-hearted banter yes, foul racism no. Anything less and I can only assume that you stand by your initial comment and that is unacceptable.

In order to do that though Blackburn would have to do the impossible - actually get promoted from the 'Hardest league in the world' Something the mighty Clarets have done twice in the last five years.

th offered him 3 years...so obviously he will be guaranteed 3 years cash instead of 1 years cash....the 3 years cash amount to more than the 1 year cash....also he could hardly get in our Championship side so obviously not going to feature much next season...at Bournemouth he will get more game time...absolute no brainer.

Having read through some of these comments one thing stands out, the jealousy of the Rovers fans towards Burnley is at a level never seen before. It's a pure violent burning hatred that is oozing from every filthy pore of the sorry backwards creatures. Jealousy doesn't come close to summing up the pain of the Rovers now that Burnley are superior in every way. It's rather amusing to see so many nervous breakdowns being played out in full view. I just can't understand why they continue to disgrace themselves further, we've shamed them by overtaking them, we've shamed them with defeat on their own patch, and we've shamed them by achieving promotion on a shoestring, and yet still then come back for more. Personally I'm all for it, let them come on here and degrade themselves further, let them take more punishment, they have earn't their position in the Championship just as we have earn't our position in the top light. It's an obsession for them, like smoking they want to quit but they just can't help themselves. Burnley Football Club is now consuming them every waking minute of the day, they have nightmares about Danny Ings winner and the Darwen End bouncing, and I for one am loving it.

The Clarets are Premier League.

On the whole I agree, but this category three status that has all our players leaving needs sorting out. When bigger clubs like Bournemouth come poaching away our best players from an extremely small squad we need more than a player who couldn't get in the Bolton team coming in. I feel there won't be much bouncing going on at the turf this season. Blubbing yeah, bouncing no.

TurfMoorTom,

You are truly a despicable human being. Trying to play it down is doing you no favours whatsoever. You have shown us all exactly where your moral compass is pointing.

The best way to deal with this Barry is to make a full and frank apology in light of your racist outburst. There is no place for that kind of talk on these comments pages. Light-hearted banter yes, foul racism no. Anything less and I can only assume that you stand by your initial comment and that is unacceptable.
Human Being? You are doing it a favour there. He must live alone and spend all day on the old stained mattress closing his eyes and trying to visualize that Burnley had not been promoted to the top tier of football in this country and hope that they will not be pushing for a European place next season, whilst his lot deteriorate even further. Oh the shame.

Some nice words for the fans there as he left, I guess Rovers' fans really have nothing much going on at the moment, things seem a but flat at Ewood so latching on to our transfer deals gives a bit of meaning to a dull day. Would Junior make the Blackburn team? They're not interested in that. Will Bournmouth again be the surprise package? Nope. Not interested in that. Seems like there's only one show in town, one thing attracting attention, not Rhodes, not Bowyer, not Blackburn but Burnley FC. Put a cuddly Bertie Bee under your pillows boys, you can touch it in the night when yoy get lonely. Obsessed doesn't even come near describing it.

Pure desperation from the crying Blackburn fan who calls himself "AnotherPounding4Bur
nley" in attempting to find some positive for Blackburn Rovers in comparing the clubs youth academies! Am I really reading this correctly?

Burnley are in the Premier League and the Blackburn fan has so very little left in his arsenal he has to resort to comparing the under 11's?

You have to laugh, you really do. Keep trying, you are losing your grasp rather quickly and it's nothing if not amusing to see you flounder for a foothold, what next, a comparison of the catering facilities?

Why not compare both clubs first team performance for the season just past, 2013/14? How does that compare?

Fact : Chris Brown signed for Chicken Breeders for one reason only...he will not be out of his depth when relegated to Division One next year.
Fact:: The Chicken Shack Board of Directors have not got a clue how to compete with Burnleys achievements without Happy Jacks millions, and it is inevitable they will not continue their current level of financial support, but will continue as Owners, therefore ensuring happiness and joy, for all at Turf Moor..............
Long Live the Venkies......... who needs to watch soap operas when youve got pure comedy at the Shi-ewood stadium packed with subsidised horse abusers, Up yours Nodads the Clarets are Premier league and you cannot get over it.

The end is nigh for Blackburn Rovers after four years of turbulence, mismanagement and pure unadulterated farce. A short history of the amusing events that have brought a debt-ridden Blackburn Rovers to its knees in the second division........

November 2010 - Venkys pay £23m to the Jack Walker Trust to buy the club.

December 2010 - Sam Allardyce sacked with Blackburn in 13th place in the Premier League. Steve Kean is given managers role until the end of the season.

January 2011 - Unknown foreigners Ruben Rochina and Mauro Formica both join despite the club being linked with Ronaldinho and David Beckham. Steve Kean is handed a three year contract a month into the job.

May 2011 - Despite being dragged into a relegation battle, Rovers scrape to safety on the final day of a miserable season to retain top-flight status. Steve Kean is caught drink-driving in Cheshire. He is bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court.

June 2011 - Steve Kean banned from driving for 18 months after being found guilty of being under the influence of alcohol whilst operating a motor vehicle. Steve Kean claimed that his drinks had been spiked following a Manchester United match, these claims were thrown out in court. It is revealed that Kean was caught driving at 90mph while almost twice the legal drink-drive limit

August 2011 - Steve Kean reveals to the media that he has targeted a top 10 finish for the season ahead.

September 2011 - Blackburn fans stage protest against Kean and the Venkys before a league match against Arsenal.

October 2011 - Supporters stage second protest in a month after humbling 4-0 home defeat to Manchester City. Owners subsidise a visit to India from a select group of fans who want answers about the running of the club.

November 2011 - Venkys take it on themselves to ban protest banners from the ground. In retaliation plane is flown over Ewood Park reading ‘Steve Kean out’ during a match against Chelsea. Blackburn statement confirms ‘they are in dialogue with the protest organisers to achieve closure on protests for the good of Blackburn Rovers FC’. Rumours about new owners gather pace, however, it appears that Kean is offered a new two-year deal. The announcement leads to a ‘Week of Mourning’, with fans laying wreaths by the football club. Kean admits to ‘throwing’ FA Cup tie with Cardiff to concentrate on league - fans demand refund.

December 2011 - Despite just four wins all season, Kean boldly claims that a top-ten finish is not beyond the realms of possibility. Fans who went to India claim they haven’t been reimbursed by Venkys for the trip. Barclays bank demand that Venky's reduce the clubs 21 million pound debt which they promised they would have done when they first purchased the club.

January 2012 - Ryan Nelsen released from club. Several Blackburn fans are still waiting on Venky's to reimburse their expenses from the trip to Pune. They have been waiting a reported 2 months.

February 2012 - Christopher Samba is sold to Anzhi in Russia. Kean hires bodyguard to protect him from fans.

May 2012 - Blackburn relegated from the Premier League after 11 years in the top flight. A caped chicken is released onto the pitch and runs rings around the Blackburn players.

August 2012 - Venkys show intent on regaining Premier League status by signing Jordan Rhodes for £8m and paying him £40,000 a week in a direct refusal to even contemplate the impact this will have on the forthcoming Financial Fair Play restrictions. Fulham pair Danny Murphy and Dickson Etuhu also join, both on similar sized contracts.

September 2012 - Blackburn make poor start to Championship season, not winning in their first seven games. Steve Kean resigns, deciding his position has become ‘untenable’ and claiming he was ‘forced out’.

November 2012 - Venkys make left-field decision to hire Henning Berg as manager. The ex-defender was a Rovers favourite, helping the club to the Premiership title in 1995, but his managerial credentials were called into question after inconsistent spells in Norway. He loses first game in charge against Crystal Palace.

December 2012 - Berg is sacked after 57 days after a 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough. The Norwegian won only once in ten games.

January 2013 - Michael Appleton hired to become third Blackburn boss of the season. He leaves Lancashire rivals Blackpool after just 66 days to take position. Blackburn fans gave their owners Venky's owners a frosty reception as they hurled both snowballs and abuse at them. Jitendra Desai - husband of owner Anurahda Desai was struck in the face. The shame of the Blackburn Rovers fans was broadcast to the nation repeatedly on Sky Sports news.

March 2013 - Danny Murphy stripped of club captaincy by Appleton after struggling all season. Appleton is sacked after just 15 games with another poor win percentage of 27 per cent.

May 2013 - Rovers once again survive on the final day of the season narrowly avoiding the drop into the English third tier.

2013/14 - Former under 12's coach Gary Bowyer is appointed full time manager in a move many consider to be due to financial reasons. A miserable season see's Rovers languishing in mid-table unable to climb above 8th place. Worrying financial issue begin to surface amid concerns of non-compliance with Financial Fair Play.

March 2014 - Blackburn Rovers suffer a humbling defeat at home to bitter rivals Burnley on their march towards promotion to the Premier League.

May 2014 - Burnley achieve promotion as Rovers once again fail in their bid to achieve even a play-off spot and are now forced to begin making massive cuts to the wage bill going into their third season in the Championship. The club debts now stand in excess of £60 million.

Yes, can't blame a lad for wanting to better himself. Man the life rafts...looks like the exodus has started early.

Regarding Crispy you're probably right he'll be out fun running being the 'sporty type' that he is. I've put in a formal complaint against him for deliberately misconstruing threads and trying to incite anti-social behaviour. I guess he does this to take discussions away from the thread topic which is obviously the short rise and hilarious fall of Bumley Football Club.

Firstly, I am not in the least flattered that you have the most horrendous man-crush on me as you make me feel physically sick.

Secondly, you are a liar. You have not taken out any formal complaint anywhere about anyone so apologise or let's see your proof but personally, I know you're too cowardly to do either; you'll crawl back under your rock and hope it all goes away. It won/t

Thirdly, I'll repeat it for you; you are racist scum and I read what I read, not 'deliberately misconstrued' anything, no matter what you may now hope.

Fourthly, your tactics now are the demonstrable last bastion of the racist who, denied the platform for what he REALLY feels, sublimates it and picks on the next available subject, in your case, Burnley and its fans.

So while people were out working today and paying tax on the wages earned, how do you feel being in receipt of a portion of that money to allow you to write drivel on here all day every day ad infinitum?

Crispy - calm down, you'll do yourself a mischief. What you read was your interpretation and demonstrates more about your thought processes than mine. Likening someone to Marvin Gaye because he's called Marvin is not racist and I fail to see any angle on which a sane person can make such an assertion. If someone was called Suarez there would be inevitable jokes about biting. That is what I've reported about you to the administrators and it wouldn't have been cowardice to avoid it. However, I took exception to your straw grasping and underhand tactics using such a horrible label.

Now your fourth point, Bumley and it's fans is the ONLY subject on these threads - that is where I think you are getting yourself muddled, attempting to find nasty undertones and making things personal. I might also add that on 17th April yourself and RobH20 made physical threats toward me. You have also tried to report my name (incorrectly) and address (incorrectly) against the data protection act and in contravention of the terms of use of this site.

Goodbye Crispy.

You have also tried to report my name (incorrectly) and address (incorrectly) against the data protection act and in contravention of the terms of use of this site.

Goodbye Crispy.
I'm extremely calm, always have been.

And anyone can see you're lying there as comes standard with you but I'm not having anyone claiming I made 'personal threats' against them. You've given us the date so you'll have the proof. As you can't have, you won't be able to show it, will you?

As for me trying to report your name and address against the data protection act! That's like you; too stupid for words. Since I don't know your name and address but I do know full well the workings of the data protection act (part of my job - look that word up in a dictionary), there's no way I'd **** about with that sh1te so yet more unsubstantiated lies from you.

And as for 'likening someone to Marvin Gaye'! That's desperate squirming. Why not compare him to a Martian (Marvin the Martian) or a guitarist (Hank Marvin)? No, it HAD to be based on his colour and he HAD to be a second-rate version in order to suit your narrow-minded agenda.

You really are a pathetic little odious attempt at being a man.

But you keep claiming I'm Barry Foulds from Wilpshire. That's enough my friend. Naughty naughty. The threats from you and RobH2O when you were in your 'sporty type days at the Rodders fluffing yourselves up are there in black and white for all to see.

Martian doesn't make sense and Hank doesn't work as it isn't the same Christian name. 2nd rate yes, just being linked with Bumley implies this anyway but either way I completely throw out the claim that it has anything to do with skin colour and again stress that for you to suggest this does imply you have problems and your head is living in the 70's.

Look, this is all getting boring for others and I admire your attempt to deflect from the subject at hand which is that one of your players has decided it's better to move to the Championship than remain at the club, even when he has Premier League experience and the squad is threadbare. Speaks volumes and meanwhile Marvin STILL hasn't signed. Neither has Ings. I perhaps should have used a Martian as quite frankly you've got more chance of signing one. I never thought you'd struggle before the party even started but then your ability to blow up has never surprised me.

Future turmoil beckons.

There you go again, repeat allegations that I and another made threats against you. As you can't prove them (since they never happened), you resort to claiming 'it's all there in black and white for all to see' except they can't, because it doesn't exist. That's you - as elsewhere - deflecting it on to someone else to be up in arms about it. I don't see it happening, do you?

And then an attempt to deflect responsibility for the racist claim that it comes from the accuser! That's rich. I stand by my claim that what you wrote was racist and deeply offensive. Now that it's come to bite you, you've gone all Suarez and try and change the terms of the original insult to something more palatable. Well it isn't palatable; it was a racial epithet accompanied by a wounding insult. Now THAT'S racist in any language and you are being held account for it.

I told you it wouldn't go away, didn't I?

You\d be much better off staying away from this, go lo-pro and re-invent yourself as someone else in a few weeks. My advice for nothing there and that's to your advantage. But carry on and I'll best you every day; either way works for me I'm just marking your card for you there.

Future turmoil beckons.[/p][/quote]There you go again, repeat allegations that I and another made threats against you. Chris P Bacon

You're a self righteous prat who through your own blinkered goggles actually attempts to maintain divisions in society that no longer exist. You've attempted to introduce this issue on a public forum to meet your own ends and it's shameful behaviour. Also note through more of your inaccurate assumptions bent in the void that is your empty head you have made wild accusations to AP4B and do owe him an apology.

I'd suggest you just keep your comments on the subject which is Bumley FC. They still haven't signed anyone of note.
