BURNLEY begin the new Premier League season with a mouth-watering home clash with Chelsea.
The Clarets, back in the top flight for the first time since 2010, tackle Jose Mourinho’s big-spending Blues on the opening weekend of August 16.
And life gets no easier for Sean Dyche’s side with Manchester United the visitors for the second Turf Moor game of the new season on August 30.
Burnley’s first away match of the new season is a trip to Swansea City on August 23 while the Clarets end the campaign at Aston Villa on May 24.
The festive period looks particularly tough for Burnley with a home match with Liverpool on Boxing Day sandwiched in between trips to Tottenham Hotspur (December 20) and champions Manchester City (December 28).
The Clarets visit Stamford Bridge for the return fixture on February 21 while Dyche’s men visit Old Trafford on February 10 and Anfield on March 3.
The opening day Chelsea fixture could see Cesc Fabregas make his debut for the Blues having joined from Barcelona.
The Clarets lost both games to Mourinho’s men in their last top-flight campaign but did famously knock the Blues out of the League Cup in 2008.
Burnley fans will be hoping for to repeat their victory over Manchester United from the 2009-10 season when Robbie Blake scored the only goal of the game in what was the Clarets’ first home game of that season.
All fixtures are subject to change.
