SAM Vokes was named Burnley’s Player of the Season last night after beating Danny Ings and Kieran Trippier to the award which was voted for on the Clarets website.
The striker has enjoyed a fine season which was cut short by a cruciate ligament injury in late March.
Ings was named Players’ Player of the Year ahead of Vokes and Scott Arfield while the 26-goal striker also took the Top Goalscorer award.
Ashley Barnes’ goal against Wigan was named goal of the season while there was a special Outstanding Contribution award for boss Sean Dyche, the players and backroom staff to celebrate the club returning to the Premier League.
