David Eyres said that last week’s Derby game is more important than THE derby game. Do you agree, and why?

LAST Saturday was more important in the grand scheme of things. This Sunday is more about pride, and we are due a win.

But we are on a good run at the moment and we want that to continue, regardless of the opposition.

Every game is massive now. It just makes this one extra special being a derby.

I think that the team is in the best shape they’ve ever been before a game against Rovers though, and I hope that’s something we can capitalise on.

They’re going into it off a bad result at Bolton, and I just wonder how they’re going to react.

HAVE to agree with Eyresy on that one.

In terms of football, the Forest and Derby games were real six pointers.

Beating those two has put us in a really good position going into the last part of the season and should give us even more confidence to see out the season in the top two.

Of course, it would be nice to beat Blackburn, but if we got promoted, I doubt many Burnley fans would be bothered what the result was.

The Blackburn fixture has, for me, had all the joy taken out of it by the farcical travel arrangements that are imposed on us.

TOTALLY agree with David Eyres comments.

The game last Saturday against Derby was possible our biggest match since the promotion season and winning it has given us a crucial gap between us and the rest.

Anything can happen in a local derby so I would take a draw considering our last two results as they were against our closest rivals for promotion.

However this is our best chance to break that hoodoo against the annoying neighbours and I think we will comfortably UTC!
