This Is Lancashire: Jason Shackell got eight out of 10 Jason Shackell got eight out of 10

BURNLEY reporter Suzanne Geldard gives her player ratings for last night's 1-0 win at Bolton Wanderers.

Do you agree with the ratings? Have your say using the comment facility below.

Suzanne Geldard's ratings:

Tom Heaton 7: Survived a couple of early scares to deal with whatever came his way. Positioned himself well.

Kieran Trippier 7: Had to be on the ball defensively against Eagles but wasn't afraid to take him on.

Michael Duff 8: Made a vital challenge inside the box to stop Jutkiewicz pulling the trigger. Solid.

Jason Shackell 8: Continues to offer excellent protection to Heaton. Stood up to physical battles.

Ben Mee 7: Did enough to frustrate Eagles into some wayward shots after break.

Michael Kightly 6: Winger was not able to have a huge impact on the game.

Dean Marney 7: Pressed and pestered and pushed to get Clarets on front foot.

David Jones 8: Influential at both ends of the pitch and brought a good save from Bogdan.

Scott Arfield 7: Good cross for the goal, having lacked a little composure in the final third early on.

Sam Vokes 7: Starved of service in the first half but was in the right place at the right time to score.

Danny Ings 7: A marked man but always tried to find ways to break free and had a couple of chances.

My marks:

Heaton - 8 He got fingertips on the deflected shot that hit the bar

Trippier - 8 Brilliant display including excellent double nutmeg of Chris Eagles

Mee - 9 MOM. Though he was outstanding, his best game of the season, contained both Eagles and Lee with ease

Shackell - 8 Solid, won some key headers at corners

Duff - 7 See Shackell but distribution was as usual a bit sketchy

Jones - 7 Decent touches

Marney - 8 This guy is so important for us, covered every blade of grass

Arfield - 8 nice cross for goal and covered a lot of ground

Kightly - 7 Decent game and also worked hard down the flanks

Ings - 7 Not his best game, a couple of poor touches when played through cost him his customary goal, still keeps centre halves occupied with his movement

Vokes - 9 An excellent typically strong performance and capped with his 16th goal of a prolific season.

Marney n vokes were the better players. They are so important to us. When marney was out injured at the end of nov we missed him badly. It was a hard fought game but we showed more quality than them.
