MATCHDAY LIVE: QPR 3 Burnley 3

This live event has finished

3:16pm

2:10pm

Very creditable result for Burnley, and could have been all three points with that chance for Ings at 3-2. Burnely stay three points behind second-placed QPR.

2:08pm

Assou-Ekotto dithering again, Stanislas dispossessed him but his lob goes just wide of the far post. And that's full time, 3-3, what a game.

2:04pm

Four minutes added on.

2:00pm

Heaton saves from Kranjcar. This game is mad.

2:00pm

Junior Stanislas on for Michael Kightly on 85.

1:58pm

Clint Hill bundles a corner wide from close range.

1:57pm

Henry on for Traore for QPR on 83.

1:56pm

A brief comical interlude as a QPR fan invades the pitch and evades several stewards. Game back underway now.

1:55pm

QPR 3 Burnley 3, Maiga 79. Hoilett's initial cross was blocked by Mee but he was quickest to the loose ball and squared for Maiga to tap in.

1:53pm

Appeal for a penalty as the ball bounces up and hits Marney's arm. Referee waved it away, rightly so, it definitely wasn't intentional.

1:48pm

Maiga with an effort wide for QPR, 17 minutes left.

1:48pm

Ings with a massive chance to make it 4-2, broke the offside trap from Vokes' pass, cut inside but fired wide of the far post. Hope that doesn't prove costly.

1:43pm

Modibo Maiga on for his QPR debut in place of Johnson on 68

1:40pm

Ings caught Assou-Ekotto napping on the touchline and squared for Vokes to tap into the empty net on 62, to the delirium of the Burnley fans behind the goal. What a result this would be if the Clarets could hold on to this.

1:37pm

QPR 2 Clarets 3

1:35pm

14th goal of season for Vokes, 22 for Ings now after his goal in first half

1:33pm

Ings over from Arfield cross as Burnley go close to moving 3-2 in front

1:32pm

Attendance: 16,393 (Burnley 1,447)

1:30pm

Kightly crossed from the left and Vokes turns the ball in smartly with his studs from about 10 yards, after beating Dunne to the near post. Really good goal.

1:28pm

QPR 2 Clarets 2, Vokes 54

1:26pm

Spotted Alastair Campbell having a chinwag with Harry Redknapp's son Jamie at half time. Brendan Flood in the directors' box here today too.

1:22pm

Duff so close to heading in Trippier's free kick. Hill got the merest touch on it and Duff couldn't divert it in.

1:21pm

Second half underway

1:06pm

Kightly with a chance to level on the stroke of half time after Ings' lay-off played him in, but he took too long and the chance was gone. Half time: QPR 2 Clarets 1

1:02pm

Coming up to half time now, been a tough test for Burnley defensively against the firepower that QPR possess, although they'll be very frustrated to have conceded from two set pieces.

12:51pm

Another goal from a Kranjcar corner, Burnley couldn't clear it at the near post and it came to Dunne around the penalty spot, who volleyed it into the top corner. David Jones couldn't quite block it on the line.

12:50pm

QPR 2 Clarets 1, Dunne

12:46pm

Barton escapes a booking again. Clarets fans not happy at all about that.

12:42pm

Ings scored twice in the 2-0 win over QPR at Turf Moor in October. Burnley now looking to go ahead, amazing how this game has turned around.

12:41pm

Danny Ings scores against QPR again, a superb volley on 25 mins from Kieran Trippier's right-wing cross.

12:40pm

QPR 1 Clarets 1

12:38pm

Barton with a late challenge in Kightly. The Clarets fans can't believe that wasn't a booking, and I'd agree with them.

12:37pm

Jones fires an effort wide for the Clarets. It's better from Sean Dyche's men.

12:32pm

Burnley looking to push forward for an equaliser, but QPR still looking capable of scoring again, Traore causing problems on the left flank.

12:27pm

Doyle fires wide of the near post as QPR are pushing for a second goal.

12:26pm

Seconds earlier Heaton had tipped over a Johnson header from another corner. Now Hoilett goes close to making it 2-0, after coming on for the injured Phillips. All happening.

12:24pm

QPR 1 Clarets 0, Kranjcar corner and Doyle headed in. Bad start for Burnley.

12:21pm

The Clarets have brought a decent following here today, filling almost all of the upper tier behind the goal. Certainly not bad for the kick-off time.

12:17pm

Ross Wallace is back in the squad on his return from surgery, otherwise no surprises in the Clarets line-up today. Kevin Doyle starts up front for QPR after signing yesterday.

12:16pm

We're underway at Loftus Road.

12:15pm

QPR subs: Murphy, Hughes, Henry, Carroll, Hoilett, Zamora, Maiga.

12:15pm

QPR team: Green, Onuoha, Dunne, Hill, Assou-Ekotto, Phillips, Barton, Kranjcar, Traore, Johnson, Doyle.

12:12pm

Subs: Cisak, Lafferty, Long, Edgar, Wallace, Stanislas, Barnes.

12:11pm

Burnley team: Heaton, Trippier, Duff, Shackell, Mee, Arfield, Marney, Jones, Arfield, Vokes, Ings.

Well played to Burnley, interesting game to watch. Shame they came up against an ex Rovers player determined to beat them. Ran rings around their defence. But overall possibly a fair result.

Good result today and unfortunate not to have won it in injury time. Was important not to lose and we can go into the next winnable run of games full of confidence, QPR have Derby and Reading to play next so a good chance to climb back up into second.

And well done to our neighbours on managing a win against no-win-in-thirteen Blackpool. Just unfortunate for them that Reading, Ipswich, Leeds and Wigan all won too. What are the odds?

Great result today and we showed exactly why we are fighting for promotion, we were unlucky not to take all three points.

We now have Millwall, Bolton and Bournemouth while QPR have Derby and Reading to play next up. We will be back second soon enough.

We didn't score three against QPR but then again we didn't let three in, some Dingles on here are not seeing the bigger picture, how many points have you got out of the last ten games, play offs yes, automatic promotion definitely not, having said that you did play well yesterday.
Our match was no classic , Blackpool are a very poor side, the new lads they brought in and gave 100% for them but unfortunately I can see them going down.

As Burnley have found out when playing at home as the season has gone on to mention a couple of teams but there has been more who come and sit back playing for a point , determined not to lose and if they get a bit of luck catch us on the break and score. Hence that was what rovers did at QPR.

We went there to win and played to win. Look at the stats of both games.

How can you say "playoffs yes" , "automatic promotion definitely not" ?
Last 10 games we have taken 17 points , Rover 18 and played a game more ,you have been saying that Rovers will meet us in playoffs but seeing the big picture from your point of view means Rovers won't meet us anywhere.

Every team has a sticky patch at some point and those teams at the top and playoffs have a blip of sorts. Yes we haven't had as many wins as we had from the first 14 games compared to the last 14.

I certainly wouldn't rule out 2nd place being a possibility and nor would you regarding Rovers playoff hopes.

Well played yesterday , great atmosphere and support.

Favourite stats to date this season:
QPR have conceded 20 goals, of which Burnley have scored 5
4 points taken off the pre season favourites for promotion
We are unbeaten against the current top 6 this season

A great result for us, and a very inspiring performance which should set us up to continue and build on a very strong run.

Re rovers fans comments about recent performances, we are not getting beat by sides, we are just finding it hard to unlock the 10 man defence we are starting to come up against when teams play us. I take that as an indication of the respect we are now commanding in this division.

And as for Blackburn meeting us in the play-offs - not a chance unless they can manage to beat a side above them in the table, which they haven't managed to do all season. Unlike Burnley who have wins against QPR, Derby, Ipswich, Leeds, Reading and creditable draws away at QPR, Forest and Leicester.

We are where we are because we are a good side - Blackburn are where they are because they, quite simply, are poor.
