Burnley chief Hoos says Clarets have ‘irons in fire’ on signings

This Is Lancashire: Lee Hoos Lee Hoos

BURNLEY chief executive Lee Hoos has not ruled out another permanent signing before Friday’s transfer deadline.

The Clarets moved quickly in the window to snap up Ashley Barnes on a three-and-a-half year deal from Brighton. He came off the bench as the his new side drew 0-0 with his former club in the Championship last night, a result that leaves the Clarets three points behind Saturday’s opponents QPR.

It is likely the search for additional signings will be in the loan market although, Hoos said: “Sean’s got a couple of irons in the fire so there might be one more if we can do it.

“Fingers crossed on that one, there may be two, who knows.

“The balance of it is now whoever we bring in he’s got to fit in with how our group works, and the way our group works right now is really good.”

Asked whether it would be a permanent signing or a loan move, Hoos added: “All of it depends on who the player is.

“The problem we have is convincing someone to come in and fight for their place.”

So this new signing will be a permanent signing but in the next paragraph it says that it is likely to be a loan signing?

Which is it then, permanent or loan?

First paragraph appears to be nonsense, based on Hoos' quote later in the article.

Yes. Very sure, I'd be watching who your club are after selling before looking at us! Ha ha ha... And have you seen the league table this morning? You're still 13 points behind us! Ha ha ha.

Why do you call everyone 'Mr'?

is that because in your real life you are on the streets?

'Spare change mister?'

Tell me how is Blackburn's season going so far?

Whatever the merits of the contradictory statement it could be just a political statement, but let us hope we do see at least one more quality signing.

Actually Im not looking over our shoulder... Why would we be? Like Dyche continually says we are concentrating on the next game.

You will be really sore when we don't sell our best players (which we havnt had to do for 2 years now), eventually beat you on your turf and go up...

Its just boring reading your repatative pathetic comments on a Burnley site based on your own clouded delusions... TBH I couldnt give a damd about your club. Why would I waste my time? Why am i even wasting my time reacting to the boring drivel of trolls, I ask myself?
