BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche said his side could not have done much more to get the win over Sheffield Wednesday.

The Clarets were ultimately held to a 1-1 draw in today's Championship clash.

But it was not for the want of trying, after creating a host of chances in either half.

Sam Vokes gave Burnley a deserved lead in the 43rd minute, with his 13th goal of the season. But it was cancelled out almost immediately, with Chris Maguire equalising from close range after a free kick into the box was poorly defended.

"It was one of those strange ones where we've been totally dominant from start to finish on virtually every level of the game," said Dyche.

"Somehow you don't win it and sometimes that happens.

"We had a plethora of chances and how you don't put them in is ones of those things."

Dyche, who was disappointed with the goal they conceded, added: "Other than the physical scoreline I'm delighted with the performance."

A bit disappointing against a bottom table side at home. A drop down to third doesn't help. Go get them next time boys!

Did enough to win two games today. We are still creating loads of chances sohave nnothing to fear if we continue in the same vein.

On to the next game.

It says something when they pretend to be fans of another club. Too embarrassed to want to be associated with the laughing stock. Clearly a new phenomenon has emerged.

What's that noise? The sound of your outside chances of a play-off place disappearing?

poor old Blackburn, nowhere near good enough to finish in the top six and we all know what that means don't we....

Pop pop pop as you have a transfer embargo

Pop pop pop as you are forced to sell your 'best' players'

pop pop pop as Venkys pull out and you go into administration

pop pop pop as you are forced into liquidation

pop pop pop as you finally go bust and football is finally rid of your moaning, whiny plastic supporters.

Is that what you meant?
