How many players do Burnley need to sign this month, and in what positions?

I THINK that quality players will now want to come to Turf Moor given the position we are in, in the Championship table.

After all, they could have a massive opportunity of playing in the Premier League, whether that be on loan or in a permanent move.

But I’m still to see this Clarets board show me that they have the ambition to get to the promised land again.

Hopefully I’m wrong and they sign a different type of player – a couple of skilful wimgers who can create even more chances for our strikers.

AMER MUSHTAQ-STANSFIELD

WE need a couple of strikers. We definitely need someone who can hold the ball up because if Sam Vokes gets injured we’re struggling.

Someone like Lukas Jutkiewicz would be perfect.

Then maybe someone like Martyn Waghorn with a bit of pace. I know a Halifax fan who says they have a forward called Lee Gregory who’s really good, so maybe we could take a gamble on someone like that who isn’t on big wages.

We could do with a bit more quality on the wings too, the people we have are capable of it but they’re a bit hit and miss. Perhaps that depends on when Ross Wallace will be back.

PAUL SMITH

WE definitely need a striker as back-up and to keep Sam Vokes on his toes.

All the talk is of Ashley Barnes. I would welcome that signing but only to strengthen the squad, not as a replacement for Danny Ings.

We could really do with back-up in most positions but that isn’t going to happen.

It’s imperative that we don’t sell any of our main players or our season could be ruined.
