Sorry PC but you have to score during the 90 minutes plus injury time to win a game. Never mind better luck next year. At least the Rovers are in the draw for next round even if they go out in the replay. Plus the extra money will come in handy.

That's what we wanted, cup out of the way now, but a thoroughly decent performance to keep the confidence high so we can concentrate on chasing the bigger prize while laughing at our inferior mid-table neighbours scrape a draw against Man City reserves and have to fit in a replay, exactly the thing they could do without. Will be fun to watch your mauling at City though.

Might not be wise to mouth off after your magnificent early season performance in the League Cup though eh girls? Anyone here remember Carlisle?

Aww poor old Blackburn scrubbers, just when thry need to concentrate on their survival bid they have another game and certain embarrassing several goal thrashing to fit in.

Whereas Burnley scored three excellent goals at a premier league side and are only beaten by three 25 yard stunners by England internationals.

If wnything City showed just why they have been poor away from home this season by not beating lowly Chumpionship strugglers Blackburn despite having a massive 70 percent of the possession.

You thick idiot I never said we would win you were mouthing off when we were 2 down in the first half , the fact too we hit the woodwork and there keeper pulled off a stunning save means we gave them a very good game. We didn't play for a draw against a youth team , we were away from home and went for a win. Still your shower needed a draw with your massive debt and to help with replacing team Rhodes.

Good effort UTC

Careful CPC they will start throwing there dummies out the pram. We know how deluded they are.

I mean look at Cities away form this season and defending with 10 outfield players hoping to get a lucky goal like team Rhodes did against us, you would have had good odds for a draw.

They have had so many managers of late they have got used to chanting " get the manager out" There like excitable kids in a sweetshop.

City: Pantilimon, Boyata, Nastasic, Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Fernandinho (Yaya Toure 64), Javi Garcia, Silva (Zabaleta 88), Negredo (Jesus Navas 75), Dzeko. Subs: Hart, Kompany, Kolarov, Lopes.

Lol, This is the reserve team that YOU shower of shat played.
Saints make five changes:
Kelvin Davis, Nathaniel Clyne, Maya Yoshida, Jos Hooiveld, Luke Shaw, Jack Cork, Morgan Schneiderlin, Steven Davis, James Ward-Prowse, Gaston Ramierz, Rickie Lambert.

Might not be wise to mouth off after your magnificent early season performance in the League Cup though eh girls? Anyone here remember Carlisle?

13 points.
Was it not your shower that played the RESERVES?

We played
City: Pantilimon, Boyata, Nastasic, Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Fernandinho (Yaya Toure 64), Javi Garcia, Silva (Zabaleta 88), Negredo (Jesus Navas 75), Dzeko. Subs: Hart, Kompany, Kolarov, Lopes.

Lol, This is the reserve team that YOU shower of shat played.
Saints make five changes:
Kelvin Davis, Nathaniel Clyne, Maya Yoshida, Jos Hooiveld, Luke Shaw, Jack Cork, Morgan Schneiderlin, Steven Davis, James Ward-Prowse, Gaston Ramierz, Rickie Lambert.
Been doing some research I see.

Here's a question for you, can you tell us all the Carlisle line-up that spectacularly dumped your team out of the League Cup this season?

ps. It's still 13 points.
Not research retard, just stating a fact that you obviously overlooked in your anger fuelled post!

As for Carlisle, That's the past. If it's the past you would like to discuss, then 35 years and counting………..

Remind me again where you are in the league a present, if you dont want to talk about the past why bring up this 35 year sh** every time you deluded drunk, drugged up halfwit. 57 million in debt, but dont worry a replay at the Etihad will wipe all that out, maybe the sale of Rhodes and Dann nex week will do it.
Reality bites,no money no players no team., if anybodys bubble has popped then look at yourself, FOOL !!!!!
At PRESENT, we are 2 points of the play-offs, and now gathering momentum which is why your arses are opening up.

If you read the post you have responded to properly, you will notice that it was one of your family that brought up the past, I merely responded "if it's the past you would like to discuss" you retard.

Just goes to show how envious you are you clown, We just SIGNED 2 more more players from premiership sides, not NON-League sh!te that you are used to bagging. Do Bunleh have money to spend? Aside from 2 of your players, who have you got to sell? Your ground is falling down. Who's the FOOL now you six fingered f8ckp!g? Your bubble has burst as you will see when the fat lady sings!!

As already stated in this thread by your six fingered family fiddlers, the season is not over until the fat lady sings.

Wow how dlluded you are, you scrape a draw have to fit in another game, yes the replay will give you some more money, not enough to wipe out 57 million, lol .At least we didnt expect to win down there and at least our season isnt over, yours will be when City thrash you. No silverware, no promotion, so you keep on thinking about that when we get that promotio at te end of the season. ann and Rhodes off nex week, bubble has gone pop or you ,lol, Mega

EVERYONE knows that the Dingle are the most feeble minded people in Lancashire(if not the UK) and are blinded by resentment toward their bigger neighbours.

Why waste time on numbskulls who still think that The Rovers "bought" the title?

Oh dear your so easily pleased and something wrong with your ticker. Your need the extra revenue for your massive debt and to help replace Rhodes .

Just to remind you It was the FA Cup , so were still 2nd in the league and still way above your shower.

Well done the Clarets at least you went for the win AWAY from home and didn't play with 10 outfield defenders.

Hey Pompey, I remember you when all you did on these boards was make a proper a**hole yourself and say how "sensible" you were and you wouldn't get involved in "Banter". What's happened creep? Have you deluded yourself, along with all the other nasties, that you're going to get promoted??? Listen up moron, you seriously need to wake up, smell your mothers f***y and realise that your deluded reality is not what it is cracked up to be.

I bet you've not even been to the match either...As usual
First of all don't bring my dead mother into what should be "banter".

I have had some good ole banter with some Rovers fans who come on here with some sensible comments and proper banter but alas there aren't many who do.

No I didn't go to he match didn't get home from work until 4. You know Work? Do you know what that is?

As for getting promoted we will have to wait and see come May but we are in a good position and keeping up with the clubs that have spent big money so it's good to have that frame of mind to believe that we just might do it. Nothing wrong with that , after all you think your in the playoffs and going up already.

Reality is that your club has massive debt. Reality is your owners haven't got a clue on how to run your club. Reality is Rovers sit 10th in the championship. Realty is Rovers have won only 9 championship games. Reality is Rovers have drawn 7 and lost 8 championship games. Reality is Rovers have a defence that leak goals. Reality is Team Rhodes who is off this month. Reality is your 13 points behind Burney who sit 2nd in the championship. Reality is Burnley are 16 goals better off.

Reality Is look in the mirror and what to you see ? A moron lol ,

What a to**er you are.

Please remind me when the last time Rovers last had to apply for re-election to the Fourth Division. When did you last win anything of any note? So I can just about understand why a lot of Burnley posters seem infatuated with anything from just along the M65.
Fact; Rovers have never been in the fourth division never mind finish bottom.
Fact; Rovers have won the Premier League.
Fact; Rovers have won the League Cup.
Fact; I have lost count of the number of times Rovers have played in Europe.
Fact; Dingles are simply bitter, twisted and jealous. Maybe when you eventually manage to beat us we'll consider taking you seriously. In the mean time try to keep smiling and keep your sense of humour!

What things are going wrong? 2nd in the Championship ,3 league defeats in 24 games. Got to the last 16 of the League Cup and have gone out in the 3rd round of the FA Cup in a tuff away fixture.

We played a very good Southampton side and gave them a game and more than matched them. Very exciting game and a relieved Southampton side. Both playing good football.

Old man it wasn't our strongest side as we left 3 players out. Just like your team leaving Rhodes out which by the way was to protect him from injury for the pending transfer.

City made 7 changes to there regular line up which even with there strongest team on the park have struggled away from home in the Premiership so they were hardly going to be on fire at deadwood, The media said City were poor a blessing in disguise for your shower.

Yes we did play a Southampton side who made 5 changes but still had Lambert , Ramirez (12.5 mill) ,Lallana, Rodriguez, Schneiderlin and the highly rated Shaw so not so unlike the reserve team Rovers played.

I may just add that from city fans I have read how your lot smashed and kicked them all over the park. Maybe Rovers should try playing football the proper way.

Oh and how were we stuffed? It was a close game and on chances could have gone either way.

UTC[/p]
Ha ha so so bitter when things go wrong, just admit it you lot put out your strongest side which we didn't but you still got stuffed against Southamptons reserves.[/p]
Lmfao...........&quo t;bit ter" lol how apt coming from you old man , you who has an infatuation with the Clarets. Senile and deluded you poor thing. Well done the Clarets playing football how it should be played[/p]
It would have been easier and quicker just to type we got stuffed instead of all that rubbish FakeVilla_MTCabinet

Oh dear your so easily pleased and something wrong with your ticker. Your need the extra revenue for your massive debt and to help replace Rhodes .

Just to remind you It was the FA Cup , so were still 2nd in the league and still way above your shower.

UTC
What a w***ker... You obnoxious cretin, you'll believe anything, You've not even been to a match in years and you know nothing.....If you were "sensible" you'd be aware that you are £30 in debt, you rely on Ings who will be off, just like Jay Rod, Austin, and Fletcher as soon as they can, You have no squad to replace injured players and how many games have you won recently.???..The thing is with you, and your ridiculous ilk, is that you're too stupid to see the TRUTH and believe what you want to believe which is usually nonsense.....

You have certainly changed your "sensible" tune and thats because you're just a bitter, resentful nasty that can't stand how **** poor they have been in every department for the last 34 years.

Oh, and are you trying to tell us that you couldn't take a day off work for a match that's just down the road........More LIES and NONSENSE

fair play it was a FA cup classic it seemed. A few extra minutes and who knows?

To the Rovers fans on here with the idiotic phallic struts - grow up. Same to the Burnley ones on our pages. Banter is one thing but the "we won" "you won"repetitive drones make us both look like illiterate hillbillies.

UTC
Ha ha so so bitter when things go wrong, just admit it you lot put out your strongest side which we didn't but you still got stuffed against Southamptons reserves.
Lmfao...........&quo

ter" lol how apt coming from you old man , you who has an infatuation with the Clarets.

Senile and deluded you poor thing.

Well done the Clarets playing football how it should be played

Very rational, very realistic and go to 90% of he games, but still safe in he knowledge that you lot are jealous, insecure, nervous about the fact we are 2nd in the League and have a very good chance of going up this season.
Im not going to say for definite because nothing is nailed on in is world, but the fact we have not spent one penny on transfers and we are second is absolutely fabulous and this is the thing that makes al Rovers fans insanely jealous. FACT !!!!!!!!!!

Laughter apart, that is very commendable. It's way more than most teams would ever consider doing. I know he'll need as many fans there as he can possibly get but so do all teams and they never stick their hands in THEIR pockets (they will of course forever be sticking their hands in the FAN'S pockets).

He's also paid the club's income tax bill out of his own pocket and cleans the toilets himself to save money on cleaners. A true giant of a man in the making there.

Players travelling on the local buses to matches, living round the corner from the grounds, chatting to the fans in local pubs. Footballers were part of the community. Now on their huge wages they think they are a breed apart. Even doctors, politicians running a country, men saving lives daily don't get anywhere near the recognition these prima donna's get.

*They are unable to accept where they are now.

*Fail to recognise their obsession is an ineffective coping Mechanism.

Try looking at what your club is now, and be thankful for what you have.

No kids at City, 10 full internationals on the pitch!!! And we rested Rhodes till the last ten minutes.

UTC

Your as disturbed as your boyfriends , fake Bristol Rover and lancs OAP.

Great how you appear to know so much about me but very weird and you can get locked up for stalking ! what a creep. A saying in the Army is "Twisted laces , twisted minds", I guess your laces are twisted.

Nope as I told you I never got to the match and I couldn't take the day or get the time off because of the work I do. When someone is dumb enough to employ you , you will one day understand you can't always get the time off that you want or hope for. Silly boy.

What you have mentioned in your comment is all about your own team but you just changed the names of Rhodes for Ings and the other ex- Burnley players you mentioned you wished you had when Rhodes goes.

As for our club having £30 of debt ( My god you really are THICK) well that's fantastic it's better than your £58 million and massive wage bill that you can't cover lol.

"The thing is with you and your ridiculous ilk is your too stupid to see the TRUTH and believe what you want to believe which is usually nonsense"

You are the bitter, resentful , nasty boy who can't stand how **** poor you have been since your money ran out and jokers took over the club.

You are infatuated with the clarets and your jealousy is oozing from every pore in your body .

So look in the mirror boy and what do you see staring back at you? An obnoxious cretin and complete w**ker ....................

Your need the extra revenue for your massive debt and to help replace Rhodes . Just to remind you It was the FA Cup , so were still 2nd in the league and still way above your shower. Well done the Clarets at least you went for the win AWAY from home and didn't play with 10 outfield defenders. UTC[/p]
I bet you've not even been to the match either...As usual[/p]
You have certainly changed your "sensible" tune and thats because you're just a bitter, resentful nasty that can't stand how **** poor they have been in every department for the last 34 years. Oh, and are you trying to tell us that you couldn't take a day off work for a match that's just down the road........More LIES and NONSENSE[/p]
Your as disturbed as your boyfriends , fake Bristol Rover and lancs OAP. Just thought I would put a sensible comment on here from a Southampton supporter. I was at the game and I thought Burnley were outclassed and probably paid us too much respect in the first half but the second half they were a credit to there supporters and showed why they were in top three in the championship.Ings and Vokes were excellent and the ex west ham winger came on and caused us some problems down the right. Cant believe the nonsense that goes with the Blackburn supporters. I thought the pompey and saints rivalry was bad, some of the posters on hear really need to get some help its really sad that people have to resort to personal insults to make there point .Good luck to Burnley and Rovers both great clubs with great history and footballing traditions. I hope both teams make the Premiership soon.

Its called banter mate and you probably get and give the same to portsmouth, we are aware that Burnley are a decent team. But we refuse to tell them that as its better to get under the skin instead.

I'm fully aware of what banter is and in a footballing text I don't have a problem with a pompey or any supporter commenting on my teams defeat. or position in the league or financial position(anything football fine)I just don't get why people resort to nasty personal comments and things not associated with the game. Thats not banter its just insults and name calling and very childish.

Unfortunately with these people, if we can all them that, they dont have the mentality to get banter. What they do get is insanely jealous in the fact we are above them and in automatic promotion spot. They are in debt up totheir eyeballs and have to sell playersto survive, something they have not done for a decade, and it hurts, you can see that in their posts.
Thanks for the comments and PS can we have Jack Cork back.

Its such a shame it has to go that far, still its good to know there are some genuine knowledgeable intelligent football supporters. I think Cork is probably one of the most underrated midfielders in the country. Sadly I think that he maybe surplus to requirements once Wanyama is fit again but he has been brilliant for us and after our terrible start last season once he got back from injury we started to climb the table again. I guess if Burnley made the Premiership its a possibility you could buy him but I also think he would be wanted but several other top flight clubs. Can we swap Danny Fox for Danny Ings?I know Danny's mum and she will be immensely proud with his performance against us, she also told me he was rumoured to come back to Bournemouth earlier in the season I think he might have other suitors looking at him now he has 20 goals to his name.Liverpool?I hope he stays with Burnley and gets you into the premiership then you will a better chance of hanging onto him.If we had lost Lambert,Lallana or Cork in the Championship I don't think we would be in the Premiership now. When your team is doing well the bigger clubs all want your best players. We are going to a hard job to keep the likes of Shaw,Lallana unless we get European football soon they may be tempted by Chelsea,Man u etc..

Stmatin many thanks for a good sensible comment.

I couldn't get to the game due to work commitments but caught the 2nd half on clarets player.

It has been classed by the media as a cup tie that had it all.

I have enjoyed watching Southampton play and I don't know about yourself but I liked what Mr Adkins was doing . The football your team played under him and his replacement has been sublime at times.

I am from Pompey and know too well what rivalry there is between the 2 South coast clubs and it is on level par with Rovers and Burnley.

Anyway best of luck in the FA Cup and I hope you get your premiership form back like you had at the beginning of the season. Thanks again for your comment.
