THE DAILY SPORTS DEBATE: Who will have the best Christmas?

This Is Lancashire: THE DAILY SPORTS DEBATE: Who will have the best Christmas? THE DAILY SPORTS DEBATE: Who will have the best Christmas?

BURNLEY host Lancashire rivals Blackpool bidding to get back to the top of the Championship, while Blackburn Rovers make the long trip to Yeovil as the crucial festive period gets underway tomorrow.

Games come thick and fast at this time of the season and the Christmas and New Year spell can shape up a team’s season.

How do you think your side will do this weekend - and do you think Rovers or the Clarets will finish higher up the Championship table when the season ends in May?

With an away trip to Yeovil and two home games against Sheff W and Birmingham, id be expecting at least 6 points but as we have seen so far, we always seen to struggle against the lower league teams when they come to Ewood and play for a draw.

Bowyer on Radio this morning talking about clearing out the players who are NOT in his plans for the rest of the season, I expect the Venkys will have to pay off a few contracts because i cant see any club paying a transfer fee for the likes of Best, Etuhu, Campdell.

An extension to the Cairney loan and a few cancelled contracts will be a good window.

Again...THREE clubs in East Lancashire, if this isn't going to mention Accrington at least The Telegraph could keep it off our section but that would be competent journalism now wouldn't it.

Was just thinking the same thing but then thought does it matter? - all Stanley fans know we're gonna have the bestest Christmas games ever & the other 2 just can't compete :)

I don't know about that lot down the road but Rovers will be at least 7 points better off by the end of next week. Hoping for 9 but perhaps that may be a little greedy.

I don't think you are being greedy. If you have any ambition of reaching at least the play offs then I would expect you to gain at least 7 but 9 is achievable against those three.
Like yourself i am looking for all 9 but as you know, it's a funny old game and you just never know who will be in form on any given week.
Clearly I want us to do better than you but that doesn't stop me wishing you all the best over the Christmas period.
