Clarets boss Dyche plays down Ebanks-Blake move
BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche has played down speculation linking him with a move for former Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
The Clarets were unable to add to their attacking options despite attempts before the loan window closed last month.
But there would be nothing to prevent them from signing free agent Ebanks-Blake outside of the January transfer window, after leaving Molineux at the end of his contract in the summer.
The 27-year-old has been without a club since, while he recovered from a broken leg and high ankle sprain sustained on Easter Monday towards the end of their relegation campaign.
The forward is training with Wolves but manager Kenny Jackett has ruled out a return.
Of the link, Dyche said: “Another one of many, (Jay) Bothroyd, are we in for him as well?”
Burnley have also been linked with a second loan spell for Manchester City youngster John Guidetti.
