If Dean Marney is still absent against Barnsley what is the best Clarets midfield line-up?
If Dean Marney is still unavailable, I would move Scott Arfield to the middle with Dave Jones and bring in Junior Stanislas to play wide.
I think Arfield is the only player who can get near Marney’s work rate in that position.
Keith Treacy remains an enigma for me, so I would play Michael Kightly on the other wing, though he has looked out of sorts in his last few games.
Steve Hewitt came on and looked lively against Watford so I would keep him as an option from the bench.

IF Dean Marney is injured I would move Scott Arfield into centre midfield with David Jones and play Michael Kightly and Keith Treacey on the wings.
Our success this year has largely been down to our midfield pressing and Marney is key to that. Brian Stock and David Edgar don’t have his engine and can’t play box to box so the only player I feel who can is Arfield.
