Burnley boss hopeful over injuries

BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche is hopeful of having midfield duo Dean Marney and David Jones available tomorrow.
Jones was carried off on a stretcher in second half of last weekend’s win at Leeds United after suffering an ankle cut, while Marney limped out of the first half of Tuesday night’s cup win over Nottingham Forest.
But both are responding well to treatment and could be in with a chance of returning to face Charlton Athletic.
“We’re hopeful,” Dyche said.
“We can’t guarantee either but we’re hopeful that by the time the game comes around they’re ready and available.
“We think there’s a chance.
“The challenge is quite obvious at the moment, we’re playing Saturday-Tuesday every week and we’ve got another big week starting with Charlton, on to Doncaster, then Reading (at home).
“It does stretch the squad at times but I think the players are in very good shape. We think we can get through this period.”
